Duties & Responsibilities: Handle cash and credit retail transactions using the POS system. Be responsible for assigned cash drawer and end-of-day balancing of cash and sales reports. Handle all transactions using proper cash control policies and procedures. Assist with inventory and restocking, as directed. Assist with the overall cleanliness of the Market, as directed. Assist customers with questions they have concerning Market products and operations. Provide outstanding customer service and assist in creating a loyal customer base. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Knowledge and Abilities: Experience in use of POS systems and handling cash and credit transactions while following proper cash handling policies and procedures. Ability to reconcile cash drawer and end of day sales reports. Knowledge in WIC, Food Stamp and other programs offered by the market. Ability to communicate well and interact with customers in a clear concise manner. Ability to provide outstanding customer service by providing prompt, accurate, courteous and helpful information to customers. Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships. Knowledge of products offered in the Market.
