POSITION PURPOSE: To assist the banquet department with the coordination and service delivery of food and beverage experiences to our guests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Set up tables with silverware, and other equipment per the event order Maintain standards of quality and service according to DoubleTree standards Prepare workstations Handle guest requests or coordinate additional assistance from the supervisor or manager Communicate frequently with captains, supervisors, and managers Maintain condition and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas. Maintain inventory of necessary supplies. Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by responding and completing all requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma preferred Prior hospitality/customer service experience preferred Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up preferred. Dependable and reliable to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation with flexibility to work varied schedules Attention to detail Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
