The Art Department is charged with enhancing the image of our company, as well as that of our clients. We are seeking an Experienced Graphic Designer to join our Art Department in the design and layout of a variety of creative materials, including logos, t-shirts, catalogs, websites, marketing collateral and more. In this dynamic role you will apply your creative expertise to conceptualize, articulate, and present concepts. Duties include, but are not limited to: · Develop effective designs and layouts including logos, t-shirts, print and digital publications, catalogs, space ads, direct mail pieces, insert pieces, sample boxes, brochures, etc. · Design and preparation of digital promotions including e-newsletters/e-blasts, websites, banners, social media, marketing collateral, etc. · Create, clean up, or resize customer's art and/or logos for various types of ad specialties and promotional products including artwork required for catalog orders. · Create artwork for film output related to textile screen printing and digitizing of artwork for embroidery. · Produce the artwork specifications for all ad specialty orders as described on art specification sheets or according to requirements described by salespersons or members of the management team. · Prepare final original artwork to accompany purchase orders to vendors of imprinted ad specialty products. Qualifications: · Technical art or graphic design training or instruction; Associate Degree in Applied Arts, Graphic Design, or Commercial Art. · At least 3 years experience of professional graphic design experience working with print, web, and digital media. · Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite · Thorough knowledge of print, web, and digital production processes. · Must have production skills including trapping color, textile color separation, etc. · Capacity to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. · Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while paying impeccable attention to detail. · Self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment with a strong interest in graphic design. · Positive outlook and professionalism in all aspects of daily tasks. Supplemental Information Service Schedule The Teen Creativity Specialist's scheduled hours may fluctuate based on Teen EmpowermentProgramming and Teen Programming scheduled throughout the year. Typical schedule: Mon - Friday: Serve flexibly between the hours of 9am - 8pm, with Four days/week served during the 8am - 5pm timeframe, with one day from 12pm to 8pm; Opportunities for weekend hours or special events may become available during the year. Member will serve 18 hrs per week at a minimum. Example schedule for illustrative purposes: * Monday: noon - 4pm (3 weeks per month) * Tuesday: 4pm to 8pm * Wednesday: 1:30pm -5:30pm * Thursday: noon - 4pm * Friday: noon - 4pm * Saturday: 9am-1pm (1 week per month) * Sunday: Off Leave: Sick leave, personal leave, and holiday leave is allowed, but such time off does not count towards the required number of hours needed to successfully complete the term of service. Mid-Term Evaluations: At the member's halfway point during their term of service, the member will complete a self-evaluation and their Site Supervisor will complete an evaluation on the member through AmericaLearns. The member and site supervisor will meet, with or without Program Staff, to discuss the evaluations in-depth. These evaluations must be submitted to the AmeriCorps Program. End-Term Evaluations: Upon the completion of their AmeriCorps Contract, all members will complete an End-Term Evaluation through AmericaLearns. The End-Term Evaluation must be completed, signed, and submitted to the AmeriCorps Program within 30 days of the member's final date of service. Non-submission of this document within the 30-day timeframe will lead to the member being exited for cause (see section 9 of the Member Service Agreement) and will forfeit the member's right to the Education Award. Members may engage in other allowable activities that are not specifically outlined in the position description, but that support the AmeriCorps program design, and which will help the Program meet its goals. Under no circumstances will members be asked to perform prohibited activities.
