Free plants and not much supervision on the corporate side. Management is a mess so a lot of trust is placed on employees.
From top to bottom there are issues with GCG. From religious nepotism to a severe lack of DEI, the owner’s personal beliefs are the heart of this poorly run company. Positions “evolve” over time with no role or pay change, layoffs given without warning. Overall, not a safe environment for a long term job.

I have nothing positive to say about “leadership” at GCG. Most people in higher positions are there because they know the owners through religious or other familial connections. This creates a massive barrier and divides the company clear in half. You either know the owners, follow Christ or you don’t.
Take nepotism and “sky dad” off the table, no one thinks you’re smart business people because you are a follower of Christ. No one in the company cares, please start a religious product company if you want to continue to inflict your narrow minded beliefs upon your employees.
I overly prepared and had I known, I would have put in less effort and likely got the job anyway.
For my initial position, the salary made sense. As I was given more responsibility, I was never given any kind of salary adjustments until I threatened to leave. Never once was I given performance merits, increases to cost of living etc.. I even funded my own equipment for the first year.
Outside of the labor force predominately being Spanish speaking, you will not find anyone in the offices that isn’t white.
Putting my two weeks in and telling my boss what I really thought of the company.
