    About the Role We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our Life Insurance Operations team. This role is responsible for managing the complete new business and underwriting process for life insurance cases-ensuring every case moves efficiently from submission through placement. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment, communicates clearly and professionally, and takes ownership of delivering exceptional service to advisors and clients. What You'll Do • Manage a portfolio of 50-70 pending life insurance cases from submission through placement. • Review new life insurance applications to ensure all requirements are complete and 'in good order'. • Order and track medical requirements, medical records, exams, and other underwriting documentation. • Act as the liaison between financial advisors, clients, vendors, and carriers-providing timely case status updates and resolving issues quickly. • Proactively follow up with all parties to ensure each case progresses smoothly and meets service level standards. • Advocate and negotiate with carrier underwriters to secure the best possible underwriting outcomes for clients. • Partner with the internal underwriting team to review escalations or complex cases. • Maintain accurate documentation and records in internal systems such as eApp, eDelivery, SharePoint, Agency Integrator, Outlook, and Vital Term. • Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors, internal team members, and carrier contacts. • Provide high-quality customer service as the primary contact for financial advisors on case-related matters. • Develop a solid understanding of carrier products, procedures, and underwriting guidelines. What You'll Bring • 3-5 years of experience as a Life Insurance Case Manager in a multi-carrier environment. • Proven ability to manage complex or high-net-worth cases for independent advisors. • Strong understanding of the life insurance sales process and client communication best practices. • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. • Proactive problem solver who takes ownership of outcomes and demonstrates initiative. • Experience working across multiple systems, managing both electronic and physical documentation. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build trusted relationships. • Familiarity with medical terminology and life insurance underwriting processes preferred. • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education a plus. Provides consultation and health education to staff, caregivers and patients as it is relative to the treatment and medication needs of agency consumers. Maintains documentation of services including service plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, quarterly treatment plan reviews, and other required information in compliance with agency and third party compliance standards. Receives medical supervision from psychiatric consultants consistent with applicable Protocol for Provision of Family Nurse Practitioner Services. Administer medication orally, subcutaneously, and through an IV. Reads and responds to all forms of communication pertaining to client care needs. Reviews medication during initial and follow up visits, ensuring education is completed. Performs other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric nursing, preferred. Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure; Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area; preferred. Current CNOR/CRNFA (if applicable) certification Valid RN license - Florida. Waiver to prescribe Buprenorphine, preferred. Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience with chemical dependency, addiction, psychiatric detox, medical/surgical nursing and/or dual diagnosis substance programs OR two (2) years' experience in the Nurse Practitioner role. Extensive knowledge of: the etiology of serious mental illness, developmental, and substance abuse disorders and their treatment by a variety of appropriate therapeutic interventions including psychopharmacology; nursing practice and medical evaluation, physical diseases and their treatment; community resources and networking techniques; and of psychiatric and medical emergency stabilization. Strong understanding of local, state and federal laws and guidelines. Working knowledge of Joint Commission and AHCA standards; preferred. Relevant computer software and hardware applications proficiency - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Electronic Medical Records, Billing Systems and/or other scheduling applications; KIPU preferred. Able to respond calmly during an emergency. Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS provider card as required by department and facility SKILLS: Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data; designs work flow and procedures. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Manages difficult or emotional patient situations; responds promptly to patient needs; solicits patient feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
