As a Tower Technician you will be part of a team involved in install, erection, maintenance, repairs, removal, or retrofitting both towers and antenna systems. You will work under various weather conditions throughout the region for all major cellular carriers, rural carriers, and utility companies. **No tower experience? No problem! We provide all specialized training, and offer many advancement opportunities. Leadership training available!** Job Description: Travel, out of town, for up to two weeks at a time. Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in the towers lighting and transmitting equipment. Performs work at heights up to 1500ft. Performs tower site audits / inspections required by telecommunication industry and the customer. Installs updated lighting systems and replaces malfunctioning transmitting equipment. Test completed sights to ensure all equipment is working properly prior to releasing the site to customers. Discusses any site problems with Project Management and the customer and is responsible for ordering the required parts needed to successfully complete the job. Drives company vehicles to the construction site and uses these vehicles to deliver material to other construction sites within the Continental United States. Operate trucks and equipment in accordance with laws and regulations. Maintain a good driving record. Must obtain CDL within 3-months of employment (paid for by the company). Receive and follow directions of crew chief. Assist in ensuring trucks and equipment are well maintained and organized. Participate in daily safety meetings. Abide all required Department of Transportation and company drug and alcohol policies. Required Skills: **No tower experience? No problem! We provide all specialized training, and offer many advancement opportunities. Leadership training available!** Must have a HS diploma. Experience in the tower industry or electronics field. Degree in telecommunications or electronics (preferred). Knowledge of Communication Tower construction processes (preferred). Transmits and receives messages between divisions of own agency and other law enforcement agencies. Monitors silent alarm system to detect illegal entry into business establishments.
