Become the Nutrition Services Manager you always wanted to be
Manage Departmental budget as it relates to position.
Perform and document all purchasing, receiving, and inventory control of food and supplies.
Maintain proper sanitation, temperature, and food handling techniques to comply with regulations.
Determine quality, quantity and portion size of food required and ensure proper handling of food.

Qualifications
Certified Dietary Manager or Dietetic Technician registration with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, if required by state or regulatory agency.
Active membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, if mandated by state or regulatory agency.
Graduate of an associate degree program in food service preferred.
Must have thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, administration, and operation of hospital food services, and knowledge of all H.A.C.C.P. guidelines.
Three years of supervisory experience in food service, preferably within healthcare.
Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, and independent work skills.

Essential Functions
Performs respiratory care procedures in response to patients' needs and physician orders within the Scope of Practice of the Respiratory Care Department.
Evaluates, monitors, and maintains patients care within established guidelines in the form of policies, procedures and protocols.
Seeks for and evaluates information acquired from other members of the interdisciplinary team, patient, family, physician, nursing, support staff, current research and others.
Uses assessment information and critical thinking skills while assessing the respiratory status of assigned patients through physical exam, review of history/physical and response to ordered therapies.
Collaboratively plans and prepares patients for further support needs once the current episode of care outcomes are met (i.e., teaching, referrals, and follow-up).
Independently performs the majority of procedures, assessments and interventions performed at the facility including advanced settings (as applicable). Participates within clinical program initiatives and processes and monitors outcomes. Supports standardization and implementation of department protocols, policies, and procedures for patient care delivery.
Evaluates patient response to interventions through review of achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction.
Serves as a department and/or specialty care area representative on committees or task forces relating to area of expertise.
Develops and implements patient education plans when needed in relation to respiratory disease and equipment related to admission and discharge. Communicates operational theory to other health professionals and recommends the most appropriate technology to maximize patient comfort and safety.
Maintains timely, accurate records and documentation to satisfy department, hospital and legal requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Current state license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Valid/active NBRC credential.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Specific certifications - PALS, ACLS, NRP.
3 years of respiratory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
Supervisory, education, or leadership experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employees to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)

Job Summary
This position reports to the Patient Food Service Managers. Responsibilities encompass the day-to-day management of the Patient Food Service tray line, galleys on the patient care units, and Call Center inclusive of supervision of personnel; control of quality, and accuracy of food trays; maintenance of cost effective controls; assurance of work performance standards, sanitation and personal hygiene practices and procedures are adhered. Maintenance of required records and preparation of various reports.
Qualifications
· Ensure that patient selection tickets are processed correctly throughout the ticket handling process. Ensures that established standards of unit set up, breakdown, and sanitation are followed. Documents daily temperatures of food and equipment to ensure food safety.
· Monitor quality of food. Assess food trays for attractiveness, adherence to menu orders, established serving procedures, as well as correct food temperatures. Take appropriate action to correct any inconsistencies of food standards.
· Ensure food tray services meet established meal service deadline. In this process make decisions relative to reassignment of tasks to accomplish meal service in the most efficient manner.
· Check to be sure the process of delivering nutritional supplements and tube feedings to patients is followed per policy.
· Check to be sure food trucks have been delivered to the patient units.
· Assess unit's food and supply inventory, supervise ordering as needed to ensure efficient operation of the unit; Monitor employees to ensure all job routines are being followed.
· Oversees patient care unit based staff for menu process, tray delivery/retrieval process and unit supply process.
· Oversees all functions of the Call Center including taking calls, placing orders, managing tickets for tray line, assisting with tray line functions, and delivering trays to patients off meal times.
· Appraise performance, counsel, train, orient and discipline subordinate food service personnel assigned to unit. . Maintain various personnel documents, record and files. Prepare work schedules, timekeeping records and procedure manuals. Check employees in as they arrive at work, take sick calls and cover shortages.
· Participate in on-going process improvement with regards to operations, work performance standards, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene requirements in order to ensure consistency with institution's and local state and federal regulations and food handling principles. Conduct inspection audits of tray preparation, equipment and storage facilities. Oversee the appearance and personal habits of the staff to detect deviations and/or violations of current health regulations. Take corrective action to insure quality control within the limits of stated requirements.
· Audits patient serviceware (trays, china, glass, etc) weekly for cracks, breakage, cleanliness, and other damage.
· Provide instruction to dietetic students during their learning experience; May participate with in-service education session to support personnel (i.e. instruct, assist in session preparation).
· Attend meetings and participate on various committees within the department, schedule personnel meetings to communicate changes, modifications, announcements or other matters pertinent to the policies, practice and procedures of both the department and institution.
· May initiate and/or perform assigned special project within scope of administrative, technical food service care and delivery.
· Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the department. Provides care needed as described in department's policies and procedures.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Clinical Services Supervisor-Briscoe Lake Charles Program
The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative and clinical tasks. The Clinical Services Supervisor will assume a leadership role within the treatment team and assumes several key responsibilities in the area of client care, staff training, and the supervision of all program components to include ancillary departments to include admissions. The Clinical Services Supervisor is also responsible for maintaining the client census in a fiscally responsible manner.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
It is the duty and responsibility of the Clinical Services Supervisor to:
· meet all Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and contractual requirements for client care and client record standards;
· ensure audits of charts are conducted quarterly according to Council on Accreditation (COA) requirements and agency policy and ensure these audit reports are maintained for review;
· ensure psycho-social screens are complete, signed by an LMHP, and in the client record;
· ensure that clients receive quality of care, document evidence of quality of care, and implement and document corrective actions in the event that quality of care needs improvement;
· work with all insurance providers to ensure proper authorizations and maintain proper documentation for billing;
· prepare all billing on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as assigned by the Program Manager;
· ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and in good working order and report any safety concerns immediately to the Program Manager;
· oversee the operations of the program in the event the Program Manager is unavailable;
· directly supervise the counselors, ensure the positions are filled and that weekend responsibilities are being performed; and
· perform other duties as assigned.
Policy and Procedure Requirements:
· Must read and implement all contract requirements as well as the requirements of all other regulating authorities including LDH and COA.
· Must review and retain knowledge of agency policies and procedures and ensure policies and procedures are practiced and enforced. Responsible for maintaining and updating program operations manual related to clinical issues.
· Responsible for reviewing and implementing COA standards.
Chart Documentation Requirements:
· Maintain accurate charts that have at a minimum: Initial treatment plan, assessments that are appropriate and complete, proper signatures on documents, discharge summaries and plans, quality of chart information must be what is expected of a master's level clinician (problem statements, goals, measurable objectives, intervention-description of what counselor will do for client, target dates, completion dates, etc.). These documents will contain all of the required components as outlined in the LDH Minimum Standards for Substance abuse Facilities.
Staff Training and Supervision Requirements:
· Responsible for developing and implementing staff training.
· Responsible for ensuring that all new employees receive new employee orientation training, as well as ongoing training at least 3 hours of training per quarter.
· Ensure that clinical staff is trained on how to keep charts in compliance with requirements, conduct group and individual counseling sessions as well as education services for the client population.
Supervisor Requirements:
· Must maintain the agency cell phone on their person at all times. Ensure phone is set up properly and in working order and regularly check and return calls.
· Ensure authorizations are accurate and done in a timely manner.
· Work with other agency departments such as finance, billing, and human resources in a cooperative manner and be responsive to the needs of these departments as appropriate.
· Assume a leadership role on the treatment team and in weekly staff meetings. Participate in clinical discussions. Assist subordinate staff concerning treatment approaches.
· Be available for audits and responsible for corrective actions for audits as well as maintaining on file all audits, corrective actions, and correspondence concerning audits.
· Maintain a case load of clients.
· Maintain the client census. Monitor and ensure timely movement of clients through the treatment program.
· Assist with ensuring incidents are reported properly and to the proper authorities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications include the following:
· Master's level licensed counselor
· Knowledge of substance abuse services including ASAM criteria
· At least one year of supervisory experience in a clinical setting
· Ability to function independently with a minimum of direct supervision
· Proficient in MS Office Suite
· Ability to complete reporting requirements in a timely manner
· Must be a LPC, LMSW, and/or LCSW with clinical experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include the following:
· 2 plus years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting

Purpose:
The role of the Food Services Manager will be to coordinate the food services needs of the residents of the Brighton Recovery Center for Women and catering needs, in the Northern KY area. They also provide supervision to support staff as well as training and support to the residents assigned to the kitchen and catering programs. They are responsible for monitoring food inventory and safe handling of all food served, kitchen purchasing, and ensuring compliance of the physical plant with NKY Health Department standards. The Food Services Manager will be required to carry a mobile phone, while on duty and when away from the office.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare weekly menus providing nutritious meals to residents in the recovery program that meet DOC and VA standards that are cost-effective and prepared in accordance to NKY Health Dept standards.
Provide supervision to support staff. Work cooperatively with area non-profit agencies and private requests for catering services that are prepared, transported, and served in accordance to NKY Health Dept standards. Agency goals and outcomes are to be met as outlined.
Process Food Stamp applications in accordance with the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS). Ensure monthly reports are submitted to DCBS by the fifth of each month and are accurate.
Adheres to all contractual regulations as addressed in the operations manual.
Training and support includes proper food handling, preparation and storage as well as facilitating culinary training classes. In addition, ensures all staff is trained to uphold NKY Health Dept standards.
Attends and participates in all required meetings. Collaborate with staff on specific residents.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Coordinates and executes special event catering.
Maintains record of and compiles reports pertaining to menus, number of meals served, food and other departmental costs, personnel attendance records, repair of dietary equipment. Computes monthly food cost report as required.
Acts as facility's representative during health department inspections; assures compliance and follows-up to ensure deficiencies are immediately corrected
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior successful food service management experience specific to assisted living, retirement housing, long-term care or related environments preferred.
Degree and/or certification from culinary institute preferred.
Holds/obtains applicable local, state, otherwise required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certifications.
SERV-SAFE certified desired or as required by State.
CPR/First Aid certified a plus.
