Perform daily work assignments including, but not limited to, order fulfillment and proper maintenance of inventory in Lynchburg. Follow all security, safety, and quality standards. Responsible for receiving, unpacking, taking inventory, and stocking inbound medical and non-medical freight for the organization. The Material Handler, under the direction of the Materials Supervisor, performs the daily activities of receiving, storing, pulling, packing and shipping all supplies for the Lab and Client Supplies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for receiving, stocking, filling and sending supplies ordered by clients and phlebotomists that come in throughout the day via fax, email, and inter-departmental mail. Problem solves via phone/email by contacting client and/or phlebotomist. Verify with supervisor outstanding supplies ordered by clients. Keep client/phlebotomy informed of backordered supplies. Receive and stock supplies from all vendors according to department protocol. Ensure that supplies received in supply room are stored together in an area designated for the department in which they are used. Label all containers with date of receipt. Check invoice/packing slip noting that number ordered and received are same, notes back-ordered items, and gives invoice to appropriate personnel to be processed. Our Calibration Solutions portfolio uses the principles of advanced metrology to enable customers to measure and calibrate critical parameters in applications such as Environmental and Process Monitoring, Dialysis, Gas Flow, Air Quality, and Torque Testing. Job Summary This position is responsible for the activities to ensure proper physical and systematic control and accuracy of inventory into, within, and out of the Mesa operations at both a component and finished goods level. This position is responsible for accurate inventory control, fulfilling of work orders and transfer orders and general warehouse material movement. Duties/Responsibilities Work Order Fulfilling: * Prepare, package, and deliver work orders as requested by Manufacturing leadership * Fulfill shortages from work orders as material arrives via PO receipt process. * Load trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment. * Verify accuracy of orders, quantities, and lot/serial information. Receiving: * Perform the below duties as a back-up/cross-trained resource * Receive inbound materials, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documentation. * Inspect incoming materials for damage, discrepancies, and quality requirements; escalate issues as needed. * Enter receipts and inventory movements into ERP systems with high accuracy. * Route received items to appropriate departments or storage locations. Material Handling & General Warehouse Activities: * Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse, staging areas, and storage locations. * Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, scanners, and other equipment. * Track and report inventory variances and support root-cause investigation. Documentation & Compliance: * Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation in compliance with company policies and ISO/quality standards. * Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing safety programs. * Ensure compliance with hazardous materials handling (if applicable). Team & Continuous Improvement: * Support training and onboarding of new warehouse operators. * Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
