We are looking for a dedicated Plant Operator like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** The **Facility Plant Operator** is responsible for the daily operations of the facility's central energy plant, and main plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Utilizing a working knowledge of boilers, chillers and other plant equipment, you will ensure the plant consistently runs efficiently, safely, and smoothly. You will implement strategies to drive continuous improvement and maintain model operation by planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to meet or exceed regulatory requirements, industry standards, manufacturer's recommendations, company policies and procedures and by creating work schedules, developing maintenance schedules, and mentoring general maintenance technicians. Major Responsibilities: + Directly responsible for the food preparation for patients, the cafeteria, doctors' dining room and any special requests. + Develops and implements work standards, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene requirements, consistent with Hospital rules, local, state, and federal regulations and food handling principles. + Inspects food preparation and serving areas, equipment and storage facilities, observes the appearance and personal habits of staff to detect deviations and violations of current health regulations and orders corrective measures as necessary. + Responsibility for physical assets: The employee will be responsible for the equipment and supplies that are issued to perform job functions during his/her shift. Employees are responsible for tagging and depositing personal property found with the Security Department during their duties. + Participates with the Director and Clinical Nutrition Manager in menu planning. + Determines type and accurate quantity of foods to be prepared. + Exhibits proficiency in culinary techniques. + Performs all duties as assigned by supervisor in a cooperative and timely manner. + Serves as a role model for the department and ensures the highest level of customer service at all times + Supervises and prepares, breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals as well as special functions. + Supervises Hot Production Staff, including hiring, training, counseling, and evaluating. + Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with staff. Keeps hallways clutter free and rooms neat. + Utilizes standard precautions by wearing protective equipment (goggles, gowns, gloves and uses correct handwashing techniques). + Consistently strives to improve performance. + Makes suggestions for improvement. + Is receptive to new ideas. + Is cognizant of age specific, cultural and physical needs of customer in providing service. + Maintains confidentiality of all patient/other information. + Gives accurate and concise reports. + Keeps the Department Director informed on reportable situations and department needs. + Interacts with patients, doctors and visitors with grace and tact. + Gains patient/family confidence. + Attends and participates in staff meetings or reads minutes. + Participates in unit/department orientation/preceptorships. + Accepts responsibility for assessment of self-learning needs and identifies resources to accomplish continued personal and professional development. + Actively participates in hospital and department committees as assigned. + Attends all mandatory in-services annually. + Makes independent decisions. + Requires minimum supervision. + Displays professional pride. + Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to HCA's Code of Conduct. + Conduct reflects HCA's values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct. + Performs all ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals and complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements. + Communicates to the patient the nature of the procedure and answers questions clarifying the procedure for the patient. + Demonstrates practical application of age-related factors. + Assures patients' rights and privacy are maintained. + Reports any significant problems related to patient, physicians, ultrasound procedures, housekeeping, maintenance, supplies, or personnel to Technical Director. + Responsible for proper documentation and maintenance of all required department records. + Perform diagnostic abdominal ultrasound studies in 45 minutes or less. + Perform miscellaneous diagnostic ultrasound (i.e. thyroid, carotids) in 30 minutes of less. + Perform diagnostic renal ultrasonography in one hour 30 minutes of less. + Perform limited abdominal ultrasonography (i.e., gall bladder, aorta, renal) in 30 minutes of less. + Responsible for refurbishing supplies in treatment rooms. + Perform all quality control as required. + Wears appropriate exposure-monitoring devices at all times when in the radiology department. + Assist in the transporting of patients. + Upon leaving the department, ensures all equipment is properly shut off. + Other duties as assigned. **What qualifications you will need:** Education + Graduate of program in Ultrasound Technology approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or documented equivalent education, experience, and training. Licensure + Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (preferred) or completion of registry within one year of employment. Certification + BLS Certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) required upon hire. Experience + Ability to perform Ultrasound procedures following accepted standards and protocols.
