Position Purpose Following established policies and procedures, performs and records ultrasound diagnostic tests of patients' pelvic, abdominal and arterial and vascular areas. What you will do Obtains information about internal organs, fluid accumulations, blood flow, masses or development of fetuses for use in diagnosis of disease, study of malfunction of organs, prenatal examination of fetuses and placenta. Ensures ultrasound tests are of high quality and records results. Assists physicians in carrying out examinations, consultations, sterile procedures. Performs general clerical duties such as report filing and distribution, answering telephones, taking and relaying messages, photocopying materials. Minimum Qualifications Education: Work requires the level of knowledge acquired through completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program. Associate's degree preferred plus three (3) months or less of on-the-job training and orientation. Licensure: ARDMS Registered Abd/Pelvis preferred. May be required to become registered in multiple modalities. Certification: Registry eligible required. ARDMS Registered within one year of hire. Will be required to become registered in one (1) modality within three (3) years of hire. May be required to become registered in multiple modalities.
