The Job
The Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations will ensure the network engineering and server operations teams can maintain the highest standards of operations. This position also works in conjunction with the IT Security Director to: secure the network perimeter and internal operations reliability and continually monitor operations via the network monitoring tools; monitor the functioning of the LAN/WAN to make sure that it meets the defined service level agreements; manage a team of server system administrators to provide all services required for business operations, disaster recovery, and business continuity. You will provide weekly reports on operational status, project management progress, and accomplishments of the team. It is a 24/7/365 environment, and this position will require a person that is willing to be responsive and able to coordinate afterhours scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. You will coach, set goals, and maintain a set schedule of 1:1 meetings with staff to provide a clear picture of expectations and to assist staff with training opportunities and the tools required to perform their job functions. Interface directly with external vendors and maintain a working relationship with the various departments and their leadership.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manage an enterprise network engineering team to ensure maintenance, operation, future architecture design, and oversee a Cisco-centric network environment
Manage a team of systems administrators that operate a Microsoft Windows Active Directory infrastructure, Linux servers, Cloud environment, and additional responsibilities as required
Interact with executive leadership to convey processes and protocols for IT operations
Provide personal direction, prioritize projects, and manage a JIRA agile methodology throughout the team
Project management is a key function of this role that includes entering tickets into JIRA JSM for milestones, defining road maps, and to ensure dates are being met
Document assets in Visio, including: Model, Make, Warranty information, and Firmware versioning
Ensure proper policies are in place to facilitate onboarding and offboarding of staff
Maintain templates of each position's security and email group membership
Establish networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation: defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate to the appropriate vendor any issue as necessary
Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
Manage network security policies and procedures
Manage annual testing of Disaster Recovery
Serve as lead technical advisor on disaster recovery planning and testing
Provide reports on network/server operational status to the Director of IT Infrastructure on a weekly basis
This position requires extensive, sometimes 24/7 customer interaction, and timely responsiveness to issues and questions
Be an active participant in the vendor process, including working closely with the Procurement department to monitor budgets and purchases

Essential Skills & Abilities
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products (Windows and domain architecture), electronic data interchange (EDI), and network domain architecture
