Position Summary:
Responsible for provision of comprehensive primary care services in a primary medical care and ambulatory clinic setting.
Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.
Your contribution to the team includes:
* Provide comprehensive primary care services in a primary medical care ambulatory clinic, working independently and interdependently with other HealthPoint providers.
* Provide care consistent with evidence-based medicine.
* Assess patient needs for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care and make appropriate referrals for service.
* Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit. Verify and document that the patient understands diagnosis, treatment and follow up recommendations.
* Responsible for accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records and superbills.
* Participate in patient triage system.
* Participate in a shared call system with other providers.
* Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with HealthPoint credentialing policy.
* Provide consultation to other clinic providers, either in person or by telephone.
* Participate in development and utilization of HealthPoint practice guidelines and procedures.
* Participate in audits and meet standards of HealthPoint Quality Improvement, Risk Management and Utilization Management programs.
* Consult with clinic physicians, specialists, or other health care professionals as appropriate.
* Administer medications in clinic as needed.
* Assist with meeting clinic patient care team productivity and quality care standards.
* Maintain credentials essential for practice, to include licensure, board certification, society memberships and CPE.
* Attend staff meetings and in-service meetings and participate in organization committees and task force activities.
Must have's you'll need to be successful:
* Graduate from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy.
* Must be accepted on staff or have a contract with a hospitalist group at HealthPoint affiliated hospitals.
* M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) or D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine). Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
* Maintain current registration/licensure as a physician in the state of Washington.
Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start. HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination. If you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, we ask that you provide documentation demonstrating proof of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series. All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.

Each page of your records should include your first and last name, date of birth, and the name of the health system from which the records are pulled.

* If you are unable to provide proof as noted above, you can choose to have a lab titer drawn to check immunity or to be re-vaccinated. If you receive vaccination(s) or lab titers, you may obtain them through HealthPoint at no cost to you. What we are looking for
NextCare Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic PART-TIME Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care to urgent care patients at our location in Marble Falls, TX.
* Please note: The minimum workload requirement for part-time is 4 shifts per month. *
Responsibilities
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the following:
Evaluating and treating patients in accordance with clinical best practices for an urgent care and/or occupational health setting.
Providing compassionate and respectful patient care consistent with NextCare services, values and mission statement.
Treating all patients who present to the clinic appropriately and discuss the treatment plan with the patient ensuring there is a clear understanding of the next steps.
Documenting care utilizing the electronic documentation system.
Taking personal responsibility for appropriately coding and billing for care rendered.
Delivering exemplary care and act in a legal and ethical manner.
Maintaining clinical productivity consistent with peers and industry standards for a similar setting.
Follow up on patient care as indicated.

Essential Education, Experience and Skills:
Active and unrestricted medical license
Active D.E.A.
NCCPA certification for a Physician Assistant or an ANCC or AANP certification for a Nurse Practitioner
Nurse Practitioners must be permitted to treat all age groups, from infant to geriatric, as per their board specialty, such as Family Nurse Practitioner
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies or Master's of Nursing degree in Nurse Practitioner studies
Active BLS Certification
Must be comfortable with all age groups
EHR proficient
DOT Certification is/may be required. If you are not currently certified, we will register you for the training at no cost to you
Must be able to work occasional weekends and holidays, the amount of these shifts will depend on facility you are assigned to
Valued But Not Required Education, Experience and Skills:
Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to over-read from the Radiologist
Suturing
For a Physician Assistant - Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies
Previous experience in an urgent care, ER fast- track or full-service walk in medical clinic.

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Physician Assistant provides expanded care to patients by exercising independent judgment related to patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and counseling. This role is essential in supporting Unity Health Care?s mission to provide compassionate and culturally competent care to underserved populations throughout Washington, D.C.
Key Responsibilities
Provide preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to patients under physician supervision
Obtain medical histories and conduct physical exams
Order and interpret laboratory/radiology tests
Diagnose conditions and prescribe medications, including controlled substances (with DEA license)
Provide health maintenance education and participate in screening programs
Refer patients to specialists, 24-hour shelters, and hospitals as needed
Manage acute and chronic illnesses within scope of practice
Provide immediate care and coordinate transport to hospitals when necessary
Ensure documentation includes supervising physician?s name
Submit delegation agreement to DC Medical Board
Ensure notes and orders are countersigned within 10 days
Collaborate with clinical teams on treatment and care plans
Participate in peer reviews and quality improvement efforts
Attend required meetings and perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program
Must pass NCCPA exam and hold current DC PA License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Prefer 2?3 years of experience in an ambulatory care setting, ideally with underserved populations
Familiarity with standard clinical practices and protocols
Supervisory Controls
Reports directly to the Medical Director.

Position Summary:
Responsible for provision of comprehensive primary care services in a primary medical care and ambulatory clinic setting.
Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.
Your contribution to the team includes:
* Provide comprehensive primary care services in a primary medical care ambulatory clinic, working independently and interdependently with other HealthPoint providers.
* Provide care consistent with evidence-based medicine.
* Assess patient needs for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care and make appropriate referrals for service.
* Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit. Verify and document that the patient understands diagnosis, treatment and follow up recommendations.
* Responsible for accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records and superbills.
* Participate in patient triage system.
* Participate in a shared call system with other providers.
* Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with HealthPoint credentialing policy.
* Provide consultation to other clinic providers, either in person or by telephone.
* Participate in development and utilization of HealthPoint practice guidelines and procedures.
* Participate in audits and meet standards of HealthPoint Quality Improvement, Risk Management and Utilization Management programs.
* Consult with clinic physicians, specialists, or other health care professionals as appropriate.
* Administer medications in clinic as needed.
* Assist with meeting clinic patient care team productivity and quality care standards.
* Maintain credentials essential for practice, to include licensure, board certification, society memberships and CPE.
* Attend staff meetings and in-service meetings and participate in organization committees and task force activities.
Must have's you'll need to be successful:
* Graduate from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy.
* Must be accepted on staff or have a contract with a hospitalist group at HealthPoint affiliated hospitals.
* M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) or D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine). Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
* Maintain current registration/licensure as a physician in the state of Washington.
