Healthy Land and Water CEO and leadership

I am a Chief Financial Officer and a previous Company Secretary, National Strategic Advisor and Committee Member with over twenty five years of executive and board level experience across the public, commercial and not for profit sectors with particular experience in governance and finance.

In an executive capacity I am currently the CFO of Healthy Land and Water Ltd. I was previously the CFO and Company Secretary of the Diabetic Association of Queensland, a Steering Committee Member with My Health for Life!, a Government funded alliance prevention program aimed at reducing the rates of diabetes and related complications across Queensland. In this role, I led strategic development and governance of the organisation, as well as financial management and worked closely with the board and key stakeholders.

Concurrently, I was recently the National Strategic Advisor (Finance and Data), Committee member of the National Services Group to the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS), a Government funded initiative that aims to enhance the capacity of people with diabetes to understand and self-manage their condition. In this role I provided strategic financial and governance advice and provided national leadership that promoted the economic and social interests of the NDSS.

I was a member of CPA Australia (QLD) commerce committee for two years. In this role, I represented the professional issues and needs of CPA members in the not-for-profit sector and promoted cost effective and technology based professional development offerings.

Prior to this, I was the CFO with Bounty Limited where I drove revenue growth from $5M to $11M and achieved 60% operational efficiency gains. Previously as the Senior Financial Accountant for the Golden Casket Lottery Corporation, I received the Employee of the Year Award for restructuring financial management and improving reporting and operational capability. Finally, I have a Master of Business Administration, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and am a Fellow of the CPA.
