Full-time Hourly Position ranging from $15.00-$19.00 DOE + benefits.
Located in Albuquerque, NM. Working out of our Hotel Albuquerque of Old Town.
Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:
Work under direction of the Front Desk Manager.
Maintain positive and professional approach with employees, coworkers, and guests.
Drive morale positively as the accountable managerial party to be present and visible to guests and staff.
Communicate regularly with property staff regarding job assignments and required timeframe for proper workflow.
Establish and maintain a close watch on the financials for the property for the day, always looking for ways to minimize loss, and improve profitability.
Collaborate with Accounting Department regularly to ensure expenses are paid for and in the general ledger appropriately.
Ensure property compliance with legal, safety, operations, labor, and the Heritage brand product and service standards.
Work with Front Office supervisor and assist other Night Audit staff to ensure accurate and timely recording of daily outlet totals that information is recorded properly.
Assist in the closing of daily work for all outlets and posting correct daily totals.
Balance Room Charges with Micros and Property Management Systems.
Perform daily backups on systems and perform any necessary maintenance when situations arise.
Balance daily credit card postings and transmit through the Property Management Systems.
Notify proper outlets when discrepancies arise. Follow up with the Front Office Supervisor and document situations.
Insure proper distribution of daily reports in a timely manner and that all accounting reports are filed away properly.
Act as Manager on duty as needed.
Oversee / Carry out special projects for property as designated by General Manager.
Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at any of the properties.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of hospitality software and MS Office (specifically Excel) required.
Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to multitask.
Proven leadership experience in a hotel setting.
Ability and willingness to work flexible long hours mostly in evenings, and may include weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more.
Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds occasionally.
3-4 years or equivalent combination of education and experience; high volume guest-interfacing hospitality experience /night auditing preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent experience/training required; some college preferred.

The Night Auditor will be responsible for the total desk operation during the hours of 11:00pm to 7:00am and keeping the managers informed of any guest complaints or situations that need immediate attention. Key job duties of a Night Auditor include:
Handle guest check-ins and checkouts efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner.
Organize shift and review remaining reservations that are to arrive. Verify that all updated contingency reports have been run.
Verify GTD no-shows and complete walked guest report and put a copy in immediate supervisors box.
Ensure credit card draft capture is in balance.
File credit cards, keys and completed reports.
Complete the express checkout envelopes and have the Night Housekeeping / Security Aide delivers to the guestrooms
Assist guests with general services such as check cashing, making change, and answering any general questions pertaining to such things as hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Ensure Property Management System is backed up nightly on designated tape and stored in the safe.
Ensure that all wake up calls are handled promptly and properly.
Complete a person in charge security report identifying any unusual events and place on the General Mangers desk for review.
Receive and transmit mail, phone, and written messages for guests.
Post room charges, food & beverage charges, phone charges, compute guest bills (individual, group masters, and city ledger accounts) using PMS, collect payment and make change for hotel guests following all cash handling procedures as required by LTD.
Balance accounts to zero as well as all restaurant credit card accounts. Balance all rebates, paid outs, and miscellaneous charges and attach calculator tape to each. Inform management of any discrepancies.
Complete daily revenue report accurately and input daily summary records and same day selling strategy report.
Prepare AM Housekeeping Status Report recording same day checkouts, ready rooms and rooms temporarily out of order. Prepare Newly Vacated Rooms report for Housekeeping showing early departures.
Report to AM associate at the end of your shift, reporting any unusual conditions and occurrences.
Monitor graveyard Night Housekeeping / Security Aide to ensure the assigned duties are completed.
Represent the Hotel in regard to guest complaints and situations that require immediate attention.
Other and all duties, projects, and tasks as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Audits the daily guest ledger
Handles all end-of-day accounting functions including posting daily room rates and room tax
Ensures accuracy of all charges to guest folios
Averages sum of revenues of all accounts receivable from food, room and other departments
Acts as front desk clerk, checking guests in and out, booking reservations and resolving guest issues
Make cash drops in accordance with proper cash handling procedures
Organize the Front Desk area so that the A.M. Front Desk staff can properly prepare for their shift
Monitors hotel security camera system
Ensures that lobby is well-maintained, properly lit and with music at proper volume
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Any other duties as assigned
