The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT Nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. You'll find state of the art technologies in CNC, EDM, and Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab.
Individuals selected for this internship will have the responsibility and authority to carry out all assigned tasks
Essential Responsibilities:
Read work orders, formulas, and processing charts to determine specifications and sequence of operations.
Weigh and measure specified ingredients and binding agents.
Mix and grind materials.
Load and unload parts, monitor operations, and adjust controls of various
processing machines and equipment to prepare, combine, or alter materials to achieve specific component properties.
Clean materials as required before processing operations.
Inspect, measure, and test components to ensure they meet specifications.
Enclose components in housings and stamp or etch identifying information on finished components.
Count, sort, and weigh processed items.
Maintain accurate manual or computerized records of production and inspection data.
Adhere to all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, reporting safety concerns, using appropriate PPE, and following all safety practices.
Ensure all products meet quality assurance standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Active Military personnel on their last 180 days before separation
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to interpret and follow written procedures (e.g., AWI), complete documentation, and follow verbal instructions.
Must pass physical, background, and drug screenings.
Desired Characteristics:
At least 1 year of experience and/or training in a related manufacturing or production environment.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and identify process improvements.
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate effectively with others
Commitment to following and promoting safe work practices.
Effective communication skills
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Transcribing physical exams

Full-time scribes work 16-20 shifts per month, or about 4-5 shifts per week. Shifts are generally 8-10 hours long, but this may vary depending upon location.
Each shift, you'll be assigned a doctor or physician assistant to work alongside. This means you're in the room during each evaluation, documenting directly from the patient and provider conversation. And that makes you a valuable part of the healthcare revolution and the patient experience.
