As a Senior Electrical Specialist, you will:
Create moderate to highly complex designs of electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability/renewable energy systems, and other similar electrical systems.
Execute a variety of electrical design assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components, and refining rough sketches.
Incorporate changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects. Contribute to studies of power systems and electrical calculations for electrical systems, lighting simulations, lighting layouts, communications, fire alarm, security and other similar calculations.
Perform site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Update design requirements as necessary.
Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposals (RFPs). Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs
Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentor more junior staff and develop them for future growth within the discipline and firm.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience designing power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, federal, and transit facilities.

Experience conducting power system analysis using software such as SKM Power Tools for Windows and ETAP.

**Skills and Abilities:**
Expert knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Advanced knowledge in design, calculations and design systems. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients and convey complex concepts in an understandable manner. Ability to work effectively across all levels in a highly dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Service Manager and with little or no supervision, the Technician 1 will perform duties as assigned by management in the repair, maintenance, and rebuilding of equipment in the service shop or field, in a safe, efficient, and capable manner in the least amount of labor hours necessary and without rework. The Technician 1 is required to complete work within the time frame and standards established by HPC.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Trouble shoots mechanical problems in Caterpillar, allied products, and Ag & Turf and industrial products serviced by the service department.
Makes warranty recommendations and prepares reports when performing warranty service jobs.
Performs minor welding, fabrication, plumbing, and D.C. electric repairs.
Attends training classes as directed and obtains passing grades.
Reconditions or overhauls major components to manufacturer's specifications.
Recommends actions to correct failures or problems.
Adheres strictly to HPC safety, housekeeping, credit, and other rules, policies, and procedures.
Maintains a favorable business relationship with customers, suppliers, and personnel from other HPC departments.
Handles Equipment Condition Reporting.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Service Manager, with little or no supervision, the Tech 3 shall perform highly skilled work in the repairing, reconditioning, testing, and adjusting of all equipment sold by Hawthorne.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Remove, install, recondition, and repair engines. As well as make necessary adjustments on the engines and to the components in the various systems, such as water pumps, fuel pumps, turbochargers, generators, compressors, coolers, carburetors, and cylinder heads.
Perform diagnostic tests on engines for lack of power, inability and hard to start, misfiring, overheating, excessive oil consumption, and basic tests on charging system.
Remove, install, and make repairs and necessary adjustments on the various power train components such as torque converters, torque dividers, direct drive transmissions, power shift transmissions, oil and dry clutches, steering clutches, and brakes, final drives, differentials, transfer cases, gear boxes, and undercarriages.
Perform diagnostic tests on power train components for overheating, operational pressure checks, and slippage.
Remove, install, recondition, repair, and make necessary adjustments on the various hydraulic controls and components such as cylinders, pumps, valves, and hydraulic attachments.
Perform diagnostic tests on hydraulic systems for operational pressures and flow check.
Must be able to meet flat rate as established by Caterpillar and industry standards.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Rotational Technician shall perform highly skilled work in the repair, reconditioning, testing, and adjusting of all equipment sold by Hawthorne Pacific Corp.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Removes, installs, reconditions, and repairs generators and engines, tests for proper operation, and makes post repair adjustments as needed. Repairs all engine systems to include water pumps, fuel pumps, turbochargers, compressors, coolers, and cylinder heads.
Performs diagnostic tests on engines for lack of power, inability and hard to start, misfiring, overheating, excessive oil consumption, and basic tests on charging systems.
Removes, installs, and makes repairs and necessary adjustments on the various power train components such as torque converters, direct drive transmissions, power shift transmissions, oil and dry clutches, steering clutches, brakes, final drives, differentials, transfer cases, gear boxes, and undercarriages.
Performs diagnostic tests on power train components for overheating, operational pressure checks, and slippage.
Removes, installs, reconditions, repairs, and makes necessary adjustments on the various hydraulic controls and components such as cylinders, pumps, valves, and hydraulic attachment.
Performs diagnostic tests on hydraulic systems for operational pressures and flow check.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Must be flexible and able to work a minimum 35 day on-cycle and 14 day off-cycle rotational schedule at any HPC branch to include Waipahu, Hilo, Kona, Kauai, Maui, or Guam branches.

**Skills and Abilities:**
Expert knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Advanced knowledge in design, calculations and design systems. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients and convey complex concepts in an understandable manner. Ability to work effectively across all levels in a highly dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
**Background Check and Drug Testing Information:**
CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as "CDM Smith") reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. $81,765
**Pay Range Maximum:**
$134,909
**Additional Compensation:**
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
