Job Description
HII, Mission Technologies Division is actively searching for an experienced IT Systems Engineering Analyst to join our team at WPAFB, in Dayton, Ohio, to help our customer AFRL/IZX with evaluating emerging technologies, platforms, and applications both commercial and non-commercial offerings and the value these technologies within AFRL, USAF, and the DoD complex.

Essential Job Responsibilities
* This role involves conducting comprehensive analysis of alternatives (AoA)
* Responsible for evaluating and comparing existing/emerging IT platforms and software
* Responsible for evaluating and comparing software solutions to determine their viability and effectiveness within the AFRL/IZ organization.
* Developing detailed documentation outlining the strengths, weaknesses, and potential impact of various technologies to the AFRL and DoD complex.
* Developing, leading, and participating in pilot programs of selected technology alternatives
* Experience in collaborating with stakeholders across different departments to ensure successful pilot execution and informed technology decision-making
Minimum Qualifications
* 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 5 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 3 years' experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 15 years relevant experience.
* Active Security Clearance preferred or ability to acquire a Secret level clearance required.

Job Responsibilities
Provide level 1 support for Service Desk line during peak call periods

Job Description:
The Senior Desktop Engineer position will be responsible for leading the engineering team in a technical role only and providing technical expertise to the organization. The senior-level technical engineer will develop and implement engineering solutions for the organization, manage technical projects, and oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions.
The successful candidate:
The Senior Desktop Engineer is responsible for acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Desktop Engineering managed solutions including but not limited to Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Citrix, and VMWare. The Senior Desktop Engineer will also have a strong knowledge of Citrix with regards to both application presentation and VDI. This individual will be responsible for engineering and supporting solutions for the Desktop Engineering Team and also mentoring members of the Desktop Engineering team.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement engineering solutions
* Lead and manage technical projects from conception to completion
* Oversee and manage the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team
* Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
* Analyze engineering challenges and develop solutions
* Monitor and assess the performance of the engineering team
* Research and recommend new technologies, processes, and procedures
Position Qualifications:
* Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum Experience: 6 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer and at least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
* Preferred Experience: Microsoft Windows 11 and Windows 10 upgrades, Citrix, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2016+, JAMF, Microsoft M365, and VMWare vCenter.
* Skills/Abilities: Seasoned interpersonal skills, effective communicator, and problem solver. Driven to improve customer satisfaction, both internally and externally. Ability to always maintain professionalism under high pressure situations. Must be able to meet team goals and enjoy working collaboratively as a team.
* Strong technical and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work as part of a team and independently
* Knowledge of engineering principles and best practices
Salary Range: $91,000 - $136,500
