Founded in 1918, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) is the largest international trade association for permanently situated amusement facilities worldwide.

1983

Rene Aziz opened his first park in 1983 with only one ride.

2000

By 2000, he was elected IAAPA Chairman of the Board, the first chairman from Latin America.
