Summary:
As a Mechanical Engineer you will conceive, plan, design, develop and coordinate project components and schedules. This is an individual contributor role, but you may also participate as a member of cross-functional teams from time to time; perform validations; troubleshoot and implement product release plans; support sales, service and marketing and complete engineering analysis and designs using various engineering tools. This position will also provide leadership and support to team members.
What you will do:
* Support product development initiatives and maintain existing products to achieve business unit goals and objectives.
* Develop concept designs and 3D CAD models, create manufacturing drawings, prepare and manage bills of materials, and release documentation through the engineering change process.
* Create and develop engineering design project documentation.
* Develop prototypes and test plans utilizing the design process and practices.
* Coordinate cross functional team in implementing new designs and improvements.
* Work with suppliers to improve quality and resolve product issues. Provide direct technical support to the production team as required to meet the goals.
* Partner with manufacturing groups and outside vendors to develop components that meet or exceed material, labor and warranty cost metrics.
* Drive continuous improvement projects related to the product design and quality of products.
* Perform the design, testing, operation and/or evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices and systems.
* Conduct engineering studies through data acquisition and analyze results.
What we are looking for:
* Engineering experience with a track record of solving complex problems
* Sheet metal design and fabrication experience
* Strong knowledge of Creo CAD software
* General understanding of thermodynamic and fluid dynamic fundamentals
* Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve engineering, quality, and warranty issues using the 8D / FRACAS processes
* MS Office application proficiency
Education and Experience:
* BS in Mechanical Engineering and minimum 3 years of applicable experience
* Product design and development experience
* Effective oral and written communications, effective presentation skills, and proven ability to work well at all levels in the organization, including production
* Precision machine design experience preferred
* Experience with additional CAD software such as Mechanical Desktop, Catia or SolidWorks and knowledge of FEA and/or CFD tools preferred

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to build, validate, troubleshoot and design new parts and systems for commercial mixers and slicers, full-time, in our Troy, Ohio Technology Center. This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will be a part of the new product development team.
Job Description
* Build, repair, test and modify commercial mixer and slicer prototypes at our development lab and local field test sites including complex mechanical and electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
* Design and facilitate engineering validation tests, fixtures and methodologies to assess new commercial food equipment designs.
* Champion ground-up design solutions for new product development.
* Complete teardown, design assessment and report out of competitive equipment.
* Review and support designer prints/models for proper materials, geometry, dimensioning, tolerancing, callouts, BOM's and accuracy.
* Make critical design decisions with engineering tools such as FEA, FMEA, tolerance stack ups, decision matrix, brainstorming, etc.

* 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and a strong willingness to learn.

* Practical understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, molding, fabrication, etc.
* Foundational print comprehension and creation skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.

Position Summary
The Mechanical Engineer 3 is responsible for all phases of Wheel & Brake new product development including requirements management, requirements validation, design manufacturing phase, qualification / certification testing and initial entry into service. This involves working with the customers to define and validate design requirements while complying with program cost and schedule requirements. Essential Functions
* Act as the Lead Designer or Lead Engineer on assigned projects for multiple LRU's; plan, direct and coordinate the efforts of the design team for all phases of LRU design development
* Responsible for the design of one or more LRU's on a project or across multiple projects
* Works directly with the project team to ensure all program targets are satisfied including technical performance, Cost (NRC, RC) and project milestones (Schedule)
* Responsible for maintaining drawing release schedule for assigned LRU's. This includes support work required from other engineering functions to support the LRU development.
* Works closely with supply chain and/or operations to ensure designs are manufacturable (DFM) while satisfying the Design to Cost (DTC) targets
* Responsible for ensuring drawings are released on time and are in conformance with design and drafting standards
* Responsible for the creation or review of internal and external customer deliverables (SDRL's) as required for a project
* Interfaces with the Lead Engineer, Functional Manager and/or other Engineering team members as required to ensure progress is being made while identifying constraints and roadblocks
* Work closely with assigned Test Engineers to assist in the development of all qualification test documents and test set-up drawings to ensure qualification test plans verify requirements according to the agreed method of compliance.
* Provides input to the preparation of Internal/external design reviews as required
* Responsible for coordinating with stress, thermal, vibration and reliability analysis engineers to ensure adequate margins against design requirements are met.
* Responsible for coordination with Supply Chain and/or Operations to ensure designs for manufacture while satisfying the Design to Cost targets.
* Support and/or lead as applicable Root Cause & Corrective Action for qualification, design, and manufacturing issues.

The job duties of the Applications Engineer will be two-fold. Firstly, the Application Engineer is responsible for engineering solutions for customer applications, preparing proposals and quotations based on customer needs, process requirements, and product expertise. The Warewash and Waste Division of ITW's Food Equipment Group, is seeking a plant Quality Engineer to lead efforts to uphold and enhance product quality, recommend and implement corrective actions, and drive performance improvements across the manufacturing process for Hobart brand commercial dishwashers. This position will be working in-office from a single shift manufacturing site located in Troy, OH, about 20 minutes north of Dayton.
The Warewash and Waste Division produces Hobart, Stero, and Somat brand commercial dishwashers and waste equipment for use in hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, cruise ships, schools and universities and retail.
This position reports to the Plant Manager and plays a key role in driving quality excellence in the production of Plant 27's Flight Type Dishwashers. The role is responsible for executing test campaigns, supporting the manufacturing, assembly and testing of the dishwasher, and continuously improving quality programs, systems, procedures, and work instructions in alignment with quality standards and methodologies. This individual will lead efforts to resolve daily manufacturing challenges, troubleshoot/resolve product issues, perform root cause and corrective action activities and implement strategic projects. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Flight Type Dishwasher's final test, resolving issues in the test process, supervising direct reports, conducting internal and out-of-box audits, and supporting a culture of operational excellence to maintain world-class quality standards throughout the facility.
