Description:
Under pharmacist supervision, supports the pharmacy department in one or more of the following areas: inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, processing of medications and supplies, specialty medications, and medication histories. Assists with all functions required for medication processing including answering telephones, taking refill orders, entering orders into system, preparing the medication for pharmacist check, preparing medications for disbursement/shipment/delivery. Key job duties may consist of handling supplies, stocking prepackaged items, maintaining inventory, delivering supplies, maintaining records, distributing supplies. May assist in bulk compounding and preparation of I.V. solutions. Works with pharmacy staff to minimize the potential for medication errors. Exercises sound judgement, anticipates potential issues and challenges in common situations and applies standard policies and procedures to determine solutions or escalation.
2+ years relevant experience preferred.
* Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
* Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
* Requires working knowledge and skills as a pharmacy technician in assigned areas and ability to work within established procedures under moderate supervision.
* Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.

Pharmacy Manager Job Overview:
The Pharmacy Manager contributes to IHC's mission and goals of patient satisfaction, quality of care, and productivity; oversees and ensures the effective and efficient management of the overall operation of all Indiana Health Centers through cooperative policy development, regular monitoring, and follow-up. Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, IHC's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
Typical duties and responsibilities:
Managing all pharmacy employees, policies, and procedures.
Preparing drugs and prescription orders for collection or delivery.
Overseeing the ordering of equipment and supplies.
Controlling inventory.
Applying best practice protocols when storing prescription drugs and controlled substances.
Verifying prescription details with the healthcare specialists who prescribed them when required.
Maintaining an approved drug and controlled substances list and verifying expiry dates.

Summary of Position

Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
Conduct comprehensive medication reviews for patients with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, obesity, heart failure, asthma, depression)
Identify and resolve drug therapy problems; optimize regimens; track and report outcomes and safety metrics.
Education & Collaboration
Advise providers on best practices, guidelines, and new therapies.

Qualifications Expected for Position
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy; PharmD required.
Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency (PGY-2 preferred).
Active, unrestricted pharmacy license and have the ability to obtain licensure in additional states without restrictions
Minimum 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in ambulatory care, ideally within value-based care (CIN or ACO).
Proficient in contemporary clinical pharmacy practice, medication therapy management, and evidence-based medicine.
Skilled in medication data analysis, cost-containment strategies, and quality improvement using analytics tools.
Strong understanding of polypharmacy risks, adherence strategies, and cost-effective prescribing.

The Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy provides assistance to the Pharmacist in the daily operations of the pharmacy. The Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy ensures that all orders are reviewed by a registered pharmacist and records all activity in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. Assists pharmacists in filling prescription orders as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
Prepares medication for dispensing, packaging and shipment.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist with experience in intravenous (IV) medication preparation and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN). In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of medications to residents in long-term care facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately verify and dispense prescription medications, ensuring clinical appropriateness.
Prepare and oversee compounding of IV medications, including TPN, in compliance with USP and other applicable standards.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to provide clinical recommendations and optimize patient outcomes.
Supervise and support Pharmacy Technicians and other pharmacy staff, ensuring quality and compliance in daily operations.
Utilize PCC (PointClickCare) and FrameworkLTC to manage and review medication orders and patient profiles.
Resolve facility and resident medication-related issues with a focus on excellent customer service.
Maintain pharmacy security and uphold infection control procedures and safety standards.
Support the Pharmacy Manager in training, coaching, and managing pharmacy staff.
Ensure full compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations.
Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
Qualifications
Required: Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Indiana.
Preferred: Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings.
Preferred: Proficiency in IV medication preparation and TPN compounding.
Familiarity with FrameworkLTC and PointClickCare (PCC) systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to patient care.

Provides comprehensive, value-based medication-related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient medication therapy outcomes.
