Position Description:
This is a remote position requiring frequent travel to all sites across multiple states. The Regional Security Manager oversees armed security operations for a USCIS government contract, ensuring compliance, daily customer communication, and effective operational and personnel management across multiple states. This demanding, remote role requires significant travel and proven managerial experience on large domestic security programs, particularly with personnel issues and security equipment like magnetometers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee security operations and personnel at approximately 15 US Government sites across multiple states, supporting the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) contract.
Manage a team of approximately 30 licensed armed security guards (two guards per location) providing staffing, screening, access control, facility checks, incident response, and reporting.
Ensure all security services are delivered in strict adherence to contract requirements, applicable law, and Agency Security Classification (ASC) security requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, maintaining daily communication and providing accurate, timely operational and incident reporting.
Directly manage, supervise, and lead the team of armed security personnel.
Handle all on-site personnel issues, including disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and shift management (scheduling, call-outs, time-off requests).
Collaborate closely with Human Resources and Recruiting on all employee matters, including staffing, onboarding, and disciplinary actions.
Coordinate and assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including uniform distribution.
Ensure all personnel maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements, including the proper licensure and compliance of security and firearms licenses.
Verify the proper maintenance, calibration, and operational use of all security equipment, demonstrating expertise in the use and operation of walk-through magnetometers and hand-held detection wands.
Ensure security procedures, post orders, and emergency response plans are current, understood, and followed by all personnel.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant security experience, with at least three (3) years of security management experience overseeing large domestic security programs, preferably for a government contract.
Prior experience as a licensed security guard is preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing security operations involving walk-through magnetometers and hand-held detection wands, including calibration procedures.
Previous experience supporting a US Government contract, with familiarity with the operational environment of agencies like U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) is highly desirable.
Exceptional leadership, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage personnel remotely across multiple locations and states.
Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and maintain any required security clearance.
Possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel frequently and on short notice.
Work Environment:

Also, possesses the ability to troubleshoot and repair problems on multiple intelligent electronic devices (IEDs), such as remote terminal units, revenue meters, data concentrators, digital fault recorders, and telecommunication networks. Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Area Manager will provide leadership and implementation of core values and our overall mission of protecting our customers' people, business, and time. This position will be responsible for the safety, management, and ongoing growth of the company, by leading safety initiatives to protect employees, customers, and assets. Managing, supervising, and supporting the growth and development of the team is a key component of this role. The management team at AWP is instrumental in achieving success and verifying customer needs are being met at the highest level of satisfaction through safety, P&L management, team building, recruitment strategies, and promoting ongoing relationships with both internal and external clients.
Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic planning and implementation of strategies to create and maintain safe work practices
Protect the company's employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents through the enforcement of safe work practices
Ensure safety compliance by Company, Local, State, and Federal regulations as it relates to the Site
Prevent accidents and other safety exposures by investigating, identifying causes, and developing preventative measures and practices
Maintain traffic control, safety, and supervisor credentials
Facilitate safety and committee meetings
Responsible for overseeing P&L, Fleet, Safety, Equipment Inventory, and Customer Interactions
Ability to understand and adhere to a collective bargaining agreement (if applicable)
Solidify AWP's presence in the service area and identify potential opportunities for growth
Ensure customer service issues are addressed promptly and efficiently while providing the highest level of customer service.
Responsible for tracking and auditing the usage of assets, employees, and time for projects
Utilize Site and organization data for workforce forecasting to predict staffing needs
Participate in the recruiting and hiring strategies in conjunction with Human Resources
Develop and support the growth of 3-5 direct supervisors
Manage a staff of 75-150 field employees - territories could cover several hundred square miles, often a large portion of the whole state (some overnight travel likely)
Engage and invest in the training of new and current employees to reduce turnover, promote efficiency, and reduce labor costs
Foster team building through leadership practices and regular communication strategies
Become a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging
Conduct Site new hire orientation and ongoing training
Manage daily employee issues including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, scheduling, and customer issues
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
5-10 years of management experience required
Strong leadership with excellent communication and coaching skills
Excellent motivation and organizational skills
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems
Experience managing P&L
Process Improvement - Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma preferred
Experience in Business Development - top & bottom line
Significant experience developing high-performing teams

Job Skills / Requirements
· Must be able to:
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Hold and maintain an Armed South Carolina security license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling.
- Communicate effectively with team members, managers, and external partners.
- Work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Work a 40-hour weekly schedule maintaining administrative and operational duties.
· General Duties include:
- Understanding and implementing Waffle House post orders.
- Staffing for all Waffle House locations in South Carolina.
- Recruiting for any opening in schedules.
- Coordinate and conduct reoccurring training for all Officers.
- Conducting monthly site inspections.
- Maintaining daily reporting to VMS Managers of SC Waffle House status.
- Fill in for any open shifts at any SC Waffle House.
- Ensuring that all Officers are in compliance with SLED.
- Ensuring that payroll is entered timely and correctly.
- Participate in daily/weekly meetings.
- Assist with any VMS Department Managers requests.
- Reviewing, writing, and making necessary adjustments to daily/weekly reports.

Security License un-armed or armed
High School Diploma/ GED
Certification Requirements (All)
Guard Card
Unarmed SLED License
