Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Provide patient and family-centered care in a high-stakes environment. Teamwork & Collaboration: Coordinate safe patient care within a high-intensity interdisciplinary team. Engage in unit rounds and clear communication with cardiovascular surgeons, cardiologists, and specialists. Professional Development: Actively engage in all residency and CVICU-specific competency assessments, simulations, and educational sessions. Begin developing preceptorship skills. Evidence-Based Practice: Learn to incorporate the latest cardiac research, performance improvement, and safety standards into daily practice. Technical Skill Acquisition: Develop proficiency in managing invasive hemodynamic monitoring (e.g., Swan-Ganz), intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), ventricular assist devices (VAD), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and vasoactive drug drips. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Skills-Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State) or eligible to obtain Current BLS certification (required upon hire) Less than 1 year of professional RN experience (New Graduates welcome) Strong desire to specialize in cardiovascular and critical care nursing Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN) is required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License (or must obtain prior to start). Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is required within 180 days of hire (training provided). Less than 1 year of professional RN experience is required. This position is ideal for New Graduate RNs passionate about critical care. Prior student clinical rotations or externships in ICU, CVICU, or Step-down are a plus. Ability to read, write, and speak English language. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills. Aptitude for developing critical thinking and time management skills in a fast-paced, technical environment.
