This is an adjunct teaching position and may be split between two persons. The schedule of hours and dates may vary and will be established based upon assignment. This instructor must be able to teach Field Surveying program and work closely with the program's advisory committee. This position has been designated as a bargaining unit position represented by the Renton Federation of Teachers (RFT) Employees Association. Please see Terms of Employment for further compensation details. This position will remain open until filled. Professional license and recent field and office experience are desirable. This adjunct teaching position is for the Land Surveying program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop and administer tests for Field Surveying courses.

* Maintain appropriate individual student records, documentation, and attendance and program reports and submit them in a timely manner.
* Enter student grade records and final grades in Canvas system. (On-line system).
* Ensure the quality of quantity of instruction provided is consistent with the stated objectives of the college and industry.
* Evaluate student progress towards attaining the learning outcomes, including thoughtfully designed individual assignments, projects, quizzes, and standardized tests.
* Design inclusive instructional strategies, including classroom, small groups and individualized instruction, to reach all students, and select and evaluate the materials needed to implement these strategies.
* Maintain office hours convenient to students.
* Participate in recruiting and job placement activities for students with varied backgrounds and career goals.
* Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in land surveying, geomatics, geospatial science, or a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
* Minimum of four years' recent successful work experience in the land surveying field.
* Proficient in the use of instrumentation such as total stations and field controllers. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD software and Civil 3D.
* Provide evidence of ability to instruct students in the function and operation of computer software and hardware.
* Ability to design learning experiences that are interactive and respectful of cultural differences.
* Ability to work effectively with individuals whose first language is not English.

* Speaker of a language in addition to English is preferred- preference for top spoken languages in the RTC service area (Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Somali, Chinese).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work involves face-to-face instruction and is performed in a classroom which is adequately heated and ventilated, and in an on-campus outdoor environment, sometimes in rainy conditions. Occasional off-campus student field trips may be expected. Frequent use of computer and exposure to terminal screens in performing work assignments required.

This is an adjunct faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis. Lecture (theory) credits are compensated at $1,090 per credit, which includes scheduled class time and final exam days, in addition to a per credit stipend based on the high demand tier. All guided practice instructional credits for adjunct will be paid with an additional pay factor of 1.33. Future advancement in base salary, up to the current maximum of $1,640 per credit, is based upon a combination of years of service accrued at our college and professional development activity.
Degree Stipend:
Master's or Doctorate degree stipends are paid on a prorated per credit rate.

The Department of Design faculty who teach these topics are themselves subject matter experts who bring decades of first-hand industry experience from the world of mobile games, PC/console games, tabletop games, user research, and more. Design courses at DigiPen cover a multitude of sub-disciplines within the broader practice of professional game design and development. Essential Functions/Duties
* Teach introductory and upper-division courses in Technical Design in accordance with departmental policies and assigned class schedules (evening classes available)
* Focus on technical scripting, implementation of gameplay systems, and systems where design is closely integrated with code, such as procedural generation of content. Technical designers bridge the gap between engineers and pure designers, often building tools, establishing APIs with the engineers, and guiding engineers' efforts to meet design goals.
* Demonstrate design and analysis techniques
* Grade, critique, and input assignment feedback on a weekly basis to the learning management system (Moodle)
* Organize class activities, demos, and assignments
* Relate assignments and tests to learning outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington School of Medicine, in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital is seeking candidates for a full-time position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Clinical Practice Track. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW's Faculty Code Section 24-34. Anticipated start date is Summer 2026.
In addition to clinical work, teaching, scholarship, and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure.
The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professor range: $13,641 - $20,461 per month ($163,692- $245,532 annually), Associate Professor range: $16,487 - $24,730 per month ($197,844 - $296,760 annually), Professor range: $19,820 - $29,729 per month ($237,840 - $356,748 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. The successful candidate will lead the development of a new Comprehensive Asthma Program at Seattle Children's Hospital. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Lead Classroom Instructor to provide to provide instruction in listening, reading, writing and speaking skills and social-emotional development skills to students ages 5-10 in the Centro Rendu Expanded Learning “Brilla” program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with students/families and be an active and reflective listener. Manage student behavior in the classroom in a positive way.
Select, print and implement lesson plans using the RAZ plus curriculum and/or other resources as needed. Review lesson plans with the Spanish Class Assistant(s) before class. Deliver instruction and perform teaching-related activities such as group cooperation and/or integration activities and craft projects.
Maintain availability between 10am-7pm Monday through Friday (hours may vary). Clock in/out when you arrive at your location site and notify supervisor of any absences. Complete and submit timesheet to supervisor in a timely manner.
Manage hours to be able to support events and attend other mandatory meetings which may include meetings for professional development.
Guide students with social-emotional & academic development. Assess student performance and language skills. Collaborate with program manager and communicate with parents regarding students' performance.
Create and manage teacher worksheet key for students. Create and manage classroom schedule/calendar and share with parents/caregivers/families.
Participate in efforts to recruit and retain students.
Manage classroom equipment, supplies, and materials. Complete purchase order requests which also include completing and submitting refund forms to supervisor within 4 days of purchases. Complete and submit mileage forms to supervisor at the end of each month.
Clean the classroom after use and follow the clean-up schedule at each site.
Attend regular weekly check-in appointments with supervisor and communicate lesson plans/guides to Classroom Assistant. Consult with supervisor before assigning duties or requiring additional meetings of Classroom Assistant.
Attend monthly meetings with supervisor and Grants Compliance Manager. Ensure the class meets contract expectations and performance measurements.
Enter student/family information into internal database (Charity Tracker) and keep all data secure for reporting purposes. Maintain confidentiality of family records and information.
Enter daily classroom attendance in database. Provide necessary data for grant reports.
Be flexible and amenable to change.
Work with the proper attitude that exemplifies the Society's Statement of Values.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience
BA degree and prior experience preferred.
Language Ability
This position requires bilingual Spanish/English speaking ability.

The Secondary Firearms Instructor (SFI) supports the Lead Firearms Instructor (LFI) during the Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) Requalification Training sessions. The SFI assists the LFI as directed in the preparation; completion; and post session clean-up requirements of all FFDO Semi-annual Firearms Requalification sessions.
Ensures student safety during dry-fire and live-fire training venues.
The SFI provides one-on-one instruction to students during the pre-qualification (warm-up) course of fire; and any remedial training as designated by the LFI.
The SFI must possess the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate law enforcement training concepts and issues to a diverse audience; and must possess the demonstrated ability to instruct in accordance with the principles of basic adult education; as well as platform and practical area instruction for law enforcement.
The SFI must have the ability to interpret; apply; and adhere to established program policies; standard operating procedures (SOPs); and lesson plans.
The SFI keeps all Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and Sensitive Personally Identifying Information (SPII) secured appropriately both during and after a re-qualification session in compliance with the TSA MD 2100.2; Privacy and Information Collection Policy and TSA MD 1400.3 TSA Information Security Policy.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Experience: SFIs must have a minimum of 5 years of formal experience as an instructor in ALL of the following law enforcement disciplines: firearms; defensive tactics/measures; and use of force.
The SFI must be a current or former certified law enforcement official or civilian employee having completed a military; state; county or municipally certified firearms training program.
Associates Degree; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work/military experience.
The SFI must also comply with all Federal; state; and/or local requirements.
This position requires applicants to successfully complete the security application and pass a background investigation clearance prior to starting.*
Working Conditions The work is typically performed at an indoor or outdoor gun range. Employees will be required to handle weapons and ammunition in the course of their duties. Exposure to high volumes of noise due to the firing of weapons will occur and employees are required to wear hearing protection in the form of foam ear plugs as well as external hearing protection. Exposure to expelled gun-powder as a result of fired ammunition is expected; and the employees must wash hands after handling ammunition. HOURLY RANGE: $30.17 - $36.42 per hour and dependent upon prior experience. Hourly rate includes $1.65 - $3.54 vacation factor which is only paid on hours worked (up to 40 hours).

REPORTS TO: Building Principal/Director of Special Programs
SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of certificated staff, the Para Educator performs tasks related to the monitoring and supervising of students on campus during the day including assisting with instruction, one on one tutoring, classroom management, organization of instructional materials, provide support and assistance in computer laboratory, library or media centers, data collection, and assist with parental involvement activities under the direct supervision, planning and preparation of the teacher. Understanding the value of working with children and youth with disabilities is essential in this position. A desire and ability to work with students is essential to this position. The placement of Para Educators is based on the needs of the District and its students. As an employee of the District, it is possible to be moved within the classification as District/student needs change. These changes could result in a minimal hourly rate change and/or location change.

Adjunct (part-time) academic and basic skills faculty are responsible for preparing and providing instruction for students in the classroom. These faculty report to the dean of transfer and related instruction, or in some cases to the technical high school principal. This part-time position may become available at any time and is typically filled on a quarterly basis.
Classroom instruction may be scheduled at Bates Downtown, Central Campus, or South Campus locations, as well as online.
Currently we are recruiting faculty to fill positions to teach in the following area:
Mathematics
90-level developmental math including Pre-Algebra, Elementary and Intermediate Algebra courses.
100-level college applied technical math and business math courses.
100-level generally transferable college math courses including Math in Society, Precalculus I & II, Statistics, and Calculus.

Essential Duties
