The Wage Agency Instructor, under direction, assists in training various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within a specified program. This position reports to the Training Manager, Transportation & Heavy Equipment.
Qualifications of the Role
High School Diploma or GED.
Four years heavy equipment operations to include experience on two or more of the following: Aerial Work Platforms, Backhoe, Bulldozer, Dump Truck, Excavator, Forklift, Front End Loader, Maintainer, and Skid Steer.
One year of adult education and/or training.
Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

The Role at a Glance
The Lineworker Instructor will conduct a wide range of high voltage, electric power line technician training courses as well as general and technical safety classes for the Electrical Power Program. The part-time Adjunct Faculty positions are designed to support our growing student enrollment for the 2025-2026 Academic Year at Tarleton's RELLIS campus in Bryan, Texas. Successful candidates may teach up to six (6) semester credit hours in their respective disciplines, delivering instruction in person, through approved instructional modalities, or as necessitated by student demand. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
100% Teaching:
Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or laboratory offerings to undergraduate and/or graduate students, which may include general education core curriculum.
Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments such as exams, quizzes, papers, etc.
Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate student learning outcomes to inform teaching practices and curriculum improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Develop, deliver, and assess training modules aligned with the tool & die trade standards and organizational needs

Extension Specialists serve as subject matter experts and use their expertise to fulfill the mission of the Agency, providing support to the Extension network at the county, district, region, and state levels. Responsibilities:
People
Collect and synthesize information from county, regional, and statewide program development committees, clientele needs assessments, trend data, clientele organizations, and key industry leaders to guide the content, quality, and priority of programming
Support agents with programming and content related to the subject matter expertise through program planning meetings, individual consultation, site visits with clientele, speaking at educational programs, and in other educational roles
Coordinate with RPLs and appropriate agents programming efforts, result/demonstrations, and other activities when performed in counties
Provide professional development opportunities and trainings and mentor and coach agents as requested by Regional Program Leaders (RPLs), District Extension Administrators (DEAs), and Associate Department Heads (ADHs) in subject matter, issues identification, and program planning areas
Work with Agents and Agency leadership to develop and implement volunteer training activities.

The Role at a Glance

The Role at a Glance
As a member of the Utilities Electric Power Program, the Agency Instructor II, under direction, will assist in various functions related to electric power transmission and distribution industry. This position will be responsible for following approved curriculum course outlines. This position will also be responsible for utilizing knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to help maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction. This position may perform online and/or classroom instruction, field-based skills training, and/or provide technical assistance in one or more of specialty area disciplines. This position will also be responsible for using a variety of media to present course material and will assist in creating new and/or updating curriculum content, when necessary, to meet learner needs.
This position reports to the Agency Training Coordinator.
Qualifications of the Role
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Five years of electric/power linework related experience.
* Two years of adult education and/or training.
* Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Equivalency: Will consider an Associate's degree in a related field and three years of electric/power linework related experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of related experience.
