JOB SUMMARY Both our lower-division and upper-division undergraduate courses are 3-unit courses. Each is taught twice a week on campus (either at our San Bernardino campus or our Palm Desert Campus) for one and a half hours per class session, during the Fall and Spring semesters (15 weeks each). Instructors prepare their syllabi, assignments, classroom activities, lecture materials, and grading rubrics, and teach the courses following department guidelines. Instructors or these courses also hold limited office hours in which they can meet with students who need help, have questions, and require advice about their coursework. TYPICAL ACTIVITIES Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students. Typical duties include: preparing al materials for teaching assigned courses, in-class teaching, and evaluating student coursework and grading assignments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies, Media Studies, Film Studies, Journalism, or a suitably related discipline.
