Primary Purpose of Position
Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modification of plant specific maintenance and technical training programs (Chemistry, Engineering, Maintenance: Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical, and Radiation Protection).
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Drives the clean energy center (CEC) and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Develops, schedules, coordinates, and conducts performance-based maintenance or technical training programs as required by user community in accordance with Constellation's systematic approach to training model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
Participates in CEC support activities, i.e. outage support, root cause support, line assessment support.
Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.
Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high-quality training.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

What you will do:
The clinical instructor is responsible for nursing team development and continuing nursing education. The clinical instructor provides education developed by the RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist or Clinical Nurse Educator. Education provided may include orientation programs for new nursing team members, ongoing staff education programs, simulation learning and continuing education for members of the nursing team. The Clinical instructor elevates the standard of professional nursing practice across the system by coaching and mentoring nursing staff.
Partners with the RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist and/or Clinical Nurse Educator on the facilitation of onboarding and orientation programs for new nursing team members

Position Summary
The UIC School of Public Health is seeking two full-time instructional faculty to support our newly developed, fully online, asynchronous Master of Public Health (MPH) Generalist Concentration and online, asynchronous Public Health Foundations Certificate Program. Courses are taught in 8-week terms, and faculty are expected to teach 7-8 courses per calendar year, including practicum and capstone teaching/advising. The SFI provides one-on-one instruction to students during the pre-qualification (warm-up) course of fire; and any remedial training as designated by the LFI.
The SFI must possess the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate law enforcement training concepts and issues to a diverse audience; and must possess the demonstrated ability to instruct in accordance with the principles of basic adult education; as well as platform and practical area instruction for law enforcement.
The SFI must have the ability to interpret; apply; and adhere to established program policies; standard operating procedures (SOPs); and lesson plans.

Required Experience: SFIs must have a minimum of 5 years of formal experience as an instructor in ALL of the following law enforcement disciplines: firearms; defensive tactics/measures; and use of force.
The SFI must be a current or former certified law enforcement official or civilian employee having completed a military; state; county or municipally certified firearms training program.
Associates Degree; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work/military experience.

Working Conditions The work is typically performed at an indoor or outdoor gun range. Employees will be required to handle weapons and ammunition in the course of their duties. Minimum Qualifications
* Doctorate Degree in Analytics or closely related field (ABD candidates nearing completion may also be considered).
* At least one year of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in communication or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrated ability to teach courses in data management, visualization, and analysis with expertise in two or more of the following:
* data mining, visualization, and the use of big data
* data analytics as it applies to one or more specific industries (e.g. healthcare, sports)
* data analytics as it applies to one or more areas of business (e.g. accounting, logistics, human resources)
* Evidence of scholarly or professional engagement in data analysis.
* Commitment to student success, innovative pedagogy, and faith-integrated education.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience teaching in both face-to-face and online instructional formats, at both the Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
* Industry experience in data analytics, particularly the interface between the analyst and the end-user.
* Familiarity with Christian higher education and mission-driven teaching.

The Department of Communication invites applications for instructor positions to create a pool for advance- and short-notice hiring based on program need.
