Position responsibilities:
Serve as primary liaison between Providers and all levels of employees
Assist with developing, coordinating, and enforcing clinical and operational policies and procedures. Educates clinical staff on rationale and need for adherence to policies and procedures
Supervise, monitor, audit and evaluate providers
Assist with the recruitment of medical staff, including interviewing candidates.
Provides onboarding, orientation and mentoring to all new providers
Work with the Chief Clinical Officer to provide/develop strategies to continually monitor provider performance expectations specific to access and productivity/revenue and to strategize corrective actions if expectations are not met
Partner with other specialty medicaldirectors to ensure consistency across service lines
Coordination and oversight of all medical care provided at each health center and for the quality of services rendered
Education/Experience requirements:
Three (3) years of clinical provider experience in a health care system with an excellent track record
Two years of experience working in a management capacity in a health care institution or agency strong preference for community health center/FQHC background
Proof of successful National Board completion or certification
Completion of an accredited United States residency program in: Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB/GYN as appropriate for the role.
Current license in good standing (If not in AZ must obtain before start date)
Valid unrestricted DEA certificate
Competency in dealing with people of various cultures and social status

Position Overview:
The Director of Classified Network Solutions is a pivotal leadership role responsible for directing the strategy of and overseeing classified enterprise network and server architecture, operations, transformation, enablement, and modernization efforts across classified environments.
This individual will lead efforts to enhance converged classified network performance, consolidate and optimize legacy systems, ensure cyber compliance and resilience, ensure mission assurance and availability, and align with DoD and IC standards. Key Responsibilities:

The ALD will lead the Area's scientific strategy to carry out research on the fundamental nature of matter through programs in cosmology, particle physics, nuclear physics, and accelerator physics, while also stewarding Engineering resources across the Laboratory. They will interact with DOE and other National Laboratories, promote partnerships with academia and industry, and guide the development of externally sponsored basic research projects and programs consistent with the Laboratory's institutional vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contribute to setting the institution's strategic priorities, initiatives and policies and supporting their implementation. Lead by example to proactively model the Laboratory's stewardship values.
Guide the Area's vision and champion its 2025 Strategic Plan, leading strategies for new and continuing research funding, workforce development, scientific program goals, operational support, and scientific infrastructure needs to maintain world‑class research output. Manage four Directors responsible for programmatic activities within their respective division.
Provide leadership for strategic talent management to motivate and assure a high‑performing organization through effective recruitment, mentoring, career development, performance management, retention, and succession planning, and proactively promoting stewardship values, to cultivate the next generation researchers and leaders.
Oversee Area management team to ensure accountability for institutional requirements and priorities, including health and safety, facilities, and financial and human resources. Ensure Area programmatic and project operations are cost‑effective, efficient and optimized within constraints of the Area's budget.
Act as chief spokesperson for the Area to University of California (UC), DOE's High Energy Physics, Nuclear Sciences, and Accelerator R&D and Production program offices, other external agencies and internal groups. Develop and maintain strong professional connections with relevant senior DOE officials, in particular with the High Energy Physics Office.
Develop research and strategic collaborations with other Berkeley Lab Areas, fellow national laboratories, academic institutions. In addition, develop an effective communication strategy to raise awareness about the Area's research and accomplishments.
Encourage entrepreneurship involving tech transfer and commercialization of technologies, working with the Lab's Intellectual Property Office.
Required Qualifications:
Advanced degree relevant to fundamental physical sciences research and minimum of 15 years of professional experience with progressively responsible leadership roles; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Internationally recognized record of leadership and research accomplishments in a relevant field.
Successful track record as a visionary and collaborative leader, managing and growing an interdisciplinary operational, scientific or engineering research organization or program.
Successful track record of establishing and articulating a scientific vision, identifying research opportunities and building collaborative partnerships with facility users, universities, industrial partners, and other research and development institutions both domestically and internationally.

Position Purpose:
As a member of the senior management team, the MedicareMedicalDirector provides administrative oversight to the medical staff, analyzes medical review utilization data, researches new medical procedures or technology, and acts as a resource to providers and internal staff on issues concerning medical policies. The MedicareMedicalDirector will write and revise medical policies.

Logistics: Palmetto GBA - one of BlueCross BlueShield's South Carolina subsidiary companies.
Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday working ONSITE at our GPC location at 17 Technology Circle, Columbia, SC. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM.
What You'll Do:
Supports operations in the form of case review on both medical and regulatory matters.
Develops claim adjudication criteria for situations requiring medical judgment. Provides input on issues and operational policies, processes, and procedures.
Educates staff and medical community on various aspects of medical policy and program administration.
May develop and update medical policy in consultation with appropriate regulatory personnel, medical consultants, and professional societies.
Develops external relationships with the medical community and serves as liaison between these entities and the contractors.
Reviews physician and provider practice pattern analysis and other statistical data related to unusual medical service utilization.
Conducts research into new or controversial medical procedures and technology.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:
Required Education: Doctorate in a job related field.
Required Experience:
5 years post graduate experience in direct patient care.
Required Software and tools: Microsoft Office
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service, organizational, and presentation skills.
Good judgment skills. Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
Ability to work as a team member as well as a leader.
Knowledge of medical and utilization review techniques.
Required Licenses and Certifications: Active state medical license and current board certification in a recognized specialty.

Medicare policy knowledge and experience
Experience working as a Cardiologist or Internist
10+ years of post graduate experience in direct patient care

It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime. You may be required to travel between buildings. This role can be physically located in Nashville, TN, Columbia, SC, or Springfield, IL. There are no options for remote or hybrid work schedules.
Government Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, which requires applicants to be a U.S. Citizen.
What You'll Do:
Oversees operations of assigned areas. Coordinates tactical team activities.
Ensures area review decisions are accurate and all associates are well informed and trained on contract process work instructions.
Reviews and analyzes data and creates departmental strategy and error rate reduction plans based on the findings.
Provides guidance on the analysis, identification, and corrective actions of services and/or providers with suspected abuse of the program.
Works closely with the Provider Service Center and other internal departments, providing necessary assistance and resources, to ensure consistency and achieve the integrated goals of reducing the claims payment error rate and procurement of additional contracts.
Develops and monitors budget for all assigned areas.
To Qualify For This Position, You'll Need The Following:
Required Education: Bachelor's in a job related field.

3 years of supervisory/management experience or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.
