Listens carefully, creates a connection, and establishes relationships with prospective customers by suggesting bank products and services that will benefit them.
Assists customers with account-related requests such as: (i) establishing or closing an account, inquiries about bank products and services, questions about checking and savings account transactions, etc.; (ii) transfer funds to assist customer needs; (iii) contact customers to notify them of check orders, debit cards, etc.; and (iv) update customer contact information and records. This may include interacting with other bank departments.
Logs and updates the bank's system (Horizon) with notes regarding customer interaction.
Supports the International Officer with loan collection, overdrafts, clearing exceptions, certifications, and dormant accounts.
Assists to prepare with origination & servicing of deposit accounts and loans; also, gather all required documentation to comply with bank's policies and procedures.
Assists in managing and servicing loan and deposit portfolios with a Commercial Sales Associate II and Commercial Lending Officer
Meets customer financial needs by offering products and services through the Referral Program.
Exercises discretion - they will work with confidential customer information.
Attends meetings, events, and participates in the bank's outreach projects.

Responsible for effectively setting appointments for all leads and potential new business opportunities.

Member Experience

About the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for building Archer Review's top-of-funnel pipeline by proactively identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective institutional partners. What you'll do
Proactively research and identify prospective institutional partners within assigned territories and segments.
Execute outbound prospecting via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage faculty and administrative decision-makers.
Create and manage effective email sequences tailored to specific buyer personas and institutional needs.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads through discovery conversations to assess fit, needs, and timing.
Schedule high-quality, qualified meetings for Sales Directors and ensure clear, thoughtful handoff.

Responsible for consulting with and informing members or prospective members of different loans and credit options, reviewing financial information and building various applications through a variety of channels. Highly motivated and influential with a strong emphasis on sales and results orientation to ensure the credit union maximizes lending and sales opportunities, including loan, deposits, products, etc. Interviews applicants, assembles and evaluates loan applications and explains credit policies. Makes outbound sales calls from a lead list or leads found oneself. Meets or exceeds assigned production and service level goals that support the credit union strategic objectives of becoming a market leader with regard to member experience and convenience. Ensures members and prospective members are promptly and professionally served. Provides general credit union information and effectively cross-sells credit union products and services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Equivalent to a two-year business-related college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent experience.
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of Credit Union loan services, policies and procedures. Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards and required loan documentation. Knowledge of consumer and residential lending practices.
Experience Required:
One to two years of varied office experience preferred. Minimum one year experience in loan consulting or sales. Skills/Abilities: Excellent interviewing, communication, and public relations skills. Proficient in sales tools and interviewing techniques. Well organized. Good decision-making skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks. Good morale and teamwork abilities. Professional demeanor, speech and attitude. Self-motivated. Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment. Attention to detail. Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow, as well as attainment of departmental goals. Good typing skills.
