Healthcare Provider (BLS) Certification at hire date. ACLS Certification within 12 months of hire. Job Duties Complies with hospital policies and procedures, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, or local laws and regulations. Perform to the full scope of their practice including regional anesthesia which the practitioner is competent to administer. Use knowledge and skills to provide their services for a level 2 trauma program. Covers in‐house call when needed Responds to codes and provides airway management per hospital policy. Works with the anesthesiologist to select appropriate anesthetic agent and technique and will be responsible for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia and analgesia during the intra‐operative course, including endotracheal intubation and extubation, management of blood or fluid, electrolyte loss and replacement, and maintenance of cardiovascular and respiratory functions. Complete training and be competent in arterial lines, central lines, sub‐arachnoid blocks, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks. Work under the supervision of an endoscopist in an off‐site GI suite and perform pre‐ and post‐anesthesia evaluation and care. Accurately documents and maintains anesthesia records.
