Role Description

Intern Position Summary
The Learning Design Intern will work with the Workforce Development and Learning Technology & Design teams, which are responsible for the design, development, and delivery of CSBS-created learning content for state examiner education. Primary Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage interiordesign projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and project requirements, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions.
* Oversee all phases of project development, including conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
* Collaborate with the Principal in Charge (PIC) to identify and secure opportunities for the Practice area, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
* Coordinate and manage project teams, including architects, designers, consultants, and contractors, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
* Prepare and present project proposals, budgets, and schedules to clients and stakeholders.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
* Demonstrate strong interdisciplinary capabilities, integrating both design acumen and project management expertise.
* Apply design and project management skills flexibly, adapting to the scale, complexity, and unique demands of each project.
* Collaborate across teams to ensure that creative vision and executional strategy are aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
* Navigate varying project scopes by balancing creative leadership with operational oversight, ensuring successful outcomes.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and securing repeat business.
* Travel to project sites across the United States as required.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors or masters degree in architecture, InteriorDesign, or a related field.
* A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on workplace and commercial interiors.
* Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.
* Strong understanding of design principles, construction processes, and building codes.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Project).
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Passion for and fundamental understanding of sustainable design.
* CPHD, LEED and/or WELL accreditations, progress toward licensure (NCIDQ) are pluses.
