A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of MRI examination. * Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA. * Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams. * Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam. * Report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service. * Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility. * Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students. * Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT * Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification * Must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing. * Or must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
