As a Clinical Speech Pathologist, you will perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures and evaluate communication and swallowing functions of patients. **A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:00PM at Mercy Hospital's offices in Carrollton and New Philadelphia.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide clinical services to patients.
+ Perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures.
+ Evaluate communication and swallowing function of patients.
+ Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis.
+ Provide counseling and education about communication and the diagnosis to patients and families.

Instructs and/or trains patient and family/caregiver in treatment procedures to continue at home.

Instructs, motivates, and assists patient and family to perform various speech activities.
Responsible for overall management of patient cases including communication and coordination of care with treatment team.
