PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION: To represent and operate within the company's product sales department in an organized, professional, profitable, and customer focused way with alignment to the company's operational objective. ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The Associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the supervisor. Job duties may change as required by needs of company. 1. Focus on sustaining and expanding the product lines and all tasks associated 2. Maintain and foster existing key accounts in conjunction with the sales managers and other departments 3. Quote and order entry for assigned products and customers in SAP 4. Identify and develop solutions for new applications using application data sheets, drawings, pictures, and customer questioning 5. Identify customer problems and areas for opportunity for new product sales 6. Prepare quotations with standard and custom products and solutions 7. Maintain or exceed standard quotation and detailed proposal lead time goals 8. Take phone calls and emails from customers and repair shops to assist with product problems and opportunities 9. Strategize on how to create new sales and new customers 10. Look at trends and help maintain appropriate inventory stock levels, will involve working with production and purchasing 11. Work with team mates to balance work loads to make fastest delivery for customer requests 12. Complete all required sales and project reporting on time and with accuracy 13. Potential for travel up to 30%, Customer visits, Trainings, meetings, lunch and learns 14. Participate in all sales and project meetings 15. Possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers 7. Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and manage time effectively 8. Advanced computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, SAP experience a plus 9. Ability to understand, interpret and discuss detailed engineering drawings 10. Ability to assess application needs and provide solutions with custom products 11. Possess good judgment and decision-making ability 12. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of people 13. Ability to solve math problems and understand calculations 14. Advanced written and oral communication skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is required to frequently reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift, and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities • Sells based on Tidewater Fleet Supply/TNT Parts value proposition by identifying key growth opportunities product and services offerings. • Generate new and repeat sales by educating customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction. • Accurately process customer transactions such as providing pricing or quotes, taking orders or managing returns. • Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability. • Service existing accounts and communicate with clients on a regular basis. • Discuss use and features of various parts. • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, addon sales and offering promotional sale items. • Work with walk-in customers regarding questions on orders, quotes and/or job specifications, assist with other front counter duties. • Provide excellent customer service at the counter by listening to customers and meeting their needs. • Maintain active and proactive customer relationships to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction/retention and resolve any complaints. • Manage Accounts in the CRM system. • Update account profiles in CRM regularly for contact info and sales potential. • Coordinate parts with the appropriate personnel, advise appropriate staff on delivery instructions. • Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Prolonged periods sitting or standing and working on a computer. Standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier. Appropriate manufacturer training. Expertise or prior experience in the heavy duty or automotive aftermarket is highly valued, along with a positive attitude and a passion for customer service. Some travel may be required.
