Key Responsibilities and Duties
I. Instructional Leadership
* Curriculum and Instruction: Lead the implementation, evaluation, and refinement of the school's curriculum and instructional programs to align with state standards and best practices. Promote the use of data-driven decision-making to inform teaching and learning strategies.
* Teacher Development: Observe, evaluate, and mentor faculty and staff. Design and implement targeted professional development programs that enhance instructional effectiveness and promote a growth mindset among educators.

III. Management and Operations
* Staff Management: Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate all school personnel. Manage staffing assignments and promote a collaborative working environment.
* Fiscal Management: Develop, manage, and monitor the school budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support instructional goals.
* Compliance: Ensure the school operates in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and school board policies.

Required Qualifications

Partner with staff to ensure that the program that provides quality and developmentally appropriate services to children and families and establish a work climate that nurtures growth, learning, and positive interaction while ensuring that all Head Start Performance Standards and state childcare guidelines are maintained always.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Promote and model excellence in daily program operations that support the provision of quality services for children and families, and a learning environment where all staff can thrive.
Obtain and share knowledge of theories and techniques regarding Early Childhood development.
Responsible for daily leadership, supervision, training, and modeling of best practices for center staff and volunteers.
Basic care for the needs of children including but not limited to toileting, family style meals, and daily routines.

A Day in The Life as a Crisis Support Worker
As a Crisis Support Worker, you will assist with children after hours. These situations may include, transporting a child to their new foster home or helping a child in moderate crisis. You are allowed a maximum of 30 hours a week. The shift begins at 5pm. However, your schedule is flexible, and you get to pick the days of the week that best work for you. Support Workers may be asked to be with a child in a hospital or any of our numerous offices in the area. We do provide a company car, cell phone and compute.

Implement and maintain, through organization and supervision of the early childhood education program that meets all Head Start Program Performance Standards and Kansas Department of Health & Environment childcare licensing regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for daily leadership, supervision, training, and modeling of best practices for center staff and volunteers.
Obtain and share knowledge of theories and techniques regarding Early Childhood development.
Provide regular supervision and support of all assigned classroom staff through recognized practices such as reflective supervision, on going training, performance appraisal systems, professional development goals and corrective action plans.
Plan for recruitment of children with center staff to ensure funded enrolment is achieved.

This position partners with all classroom staff to ensure quality teaching and supervision of preschool aged children. This position along with all classroom staff ensures the children learn how to play, explore and be safe in a positive and cheerful environment. The Teacher Assistant (TA) implements curriculum, teaches classroom rules, teaches social emotional skills, and facilitates learning during play (indoor/outdoor) & daily routines. The TA will complete observations of children and document results in data system. The TA supports the compliance of regulations through the collection and entry of additional data.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Regular, daily attendance is important to ensure consistency and safety for children.
Demonstrates good work ethic/habits by following established work schedules, following supervision directives, and Policy & Procedure.

Demonstrate patience with all children based on their developmental milestones (attention spans, interests, social emotional abilities, physical abilities, and speech/language).
Collaborate with center staff to provide a safe, inviting, engaging and cheerful learning environment.
Conduct observations and document results in data system.
Move among classrooms to meet supervision requirements for all children as needed.
Actively participate and teach children during Family Style Meals service routines.
Actively participate and teach children during Cafeteria service routines during established transition period.
Utilize program established social emotional tools to prevent and defuse challenging behavior.
Responsible for following emergency procedures and plans to ensure the safety of all children and staff during an emergency or drills.
Supports and implements the programs established curriculums.
Respect and support the cultural differences and diversity of children, families, co-workers, and communities.
Report any suspected abuse/neglect immediately to the appropriate authority and agency administration. (Mandated Reporter per state law).
Follow and comply with confidentiality and privacy for all customers and staff of SEK-CAP, Inc.

Support and comply with management decisions in both actions and words.
Comply with Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), Head Start Act, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Licensing Requirements, and Program Policies.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Basic computer skills and ability to operate general office equipment.
Knowledge of Early Childhood development
Knowledge of community resources
Previous work experience with preschool aged children
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate materials for preschool aged children
Resourceful and well organized.
Ability to learn and adapt.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED is required.
Within 6 months have a CDA
Within 30 days be First Aid and CPR certification
Current Physical exam and TB skin test before beginning employment and every three years thereafter.
Pass standard criminal history check.
Pass standard drug screen test.
Possess current, valid driver's license and meet agency insurance underwriting guidelines.
