2001 IPA corporate headquarters moves from Reston, Virginia to Ashburn, Virginia

A year later the company reported $150 million in annual sales, and in 2002 claimed that between its United States and Canadian operations it employed more than 1,500 people.

Two more strategic alliances were formed in 2003: Accountancy Associates, LLC, and ITA Implementation Services to provide such services as tax planning, estate structuring and succession planning, and accounting compliance.

In February 2005 the company reached an agreement with the Wisconsin attorney general’s office to cease deceptive business practices.

In 2006 the IPA family of companies claimed to reach $250 million in annual revenues.

2007 IPA opens an office in Curitiba, Brazil

2011 Edward Merrow’s first book, Industrial Megaprojects: Concepts, Strategies, and Practices for Success is published by Wiley in May 2011

2014 IPA recognized as one of The Washington Post Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area

Paul Barshop’s book, Capital Projects: What Every Executive Needs to Know to Avoid Costly Mistakes and Make Major Investments Pay Off, is published by Wiley in September 2016

2017 IPA celebrates its 30th anniversary

2018 Co-written by Edward Merrow and Neeraj Nandurdikar, IPA’s third book, Leading Complex Projects: A Data-Driven Approach to Mastering the Human Side of Project Management, is published in May 2018
