As a Senior Investigator for Cyber Forensics & Incident Response, you will be at the heart of our most complex and sensitive investigations. This is a highly visible, hands-on technical leadership role where you will investigate sophisticated cyber threats, from advanced persistent threats (APTs) to complex insider risk scenarios. Your work will directly shape our investigative strategy, uncover hidden risks, and materially strengthen the Bank's resilience against the evolving threat landscape. This role is focused on enterprise cybersecurity investigations.

What You'll Do
Conduct and oversee complex, forensically sound investigations into security incidents, including network intrusions, malware infections, data exfiltration, and insider threats
Execute expert-level collection and analysis of digital evidence from a wide range of sources, including volatile memory (RAM), disk images (Windows, Linux, mac OS), network packet captures, and enterprise-wide log data
Serve as a key technical lead during critical security incidents, partnering with the Threat Detection & Response team (SOC function), malware analysts, and threat hunters to identify threat actor TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), contain threats, and support remediation efforts
Translate complex technical findings from forensic artifacts into clear, concise, and structured reports for both technical peers and senior non-technical stakeholders, including Legal, HR/Employee Relations, and Compliance
Enhance and mature the team's forensic capabilities by developing new analytical techniques, automating workflows and documentation in line with industry best practices
How You'll Lead
Act as a local lead and technical advisor / mentor for junior forensic investigators, malware analysts and threat hunters, providing guidance on investigative methodology, ensuring the quality and integrity of forensic analysis, and fostering a culture of technical excellence
Drive cross-functional collaboration between the ATR group and interfacing functions like Threat Intelligence and Red Team to ensure a unified and efficient response to threats
Serve as the local point of contact for the ATR group in USA, coordinating effectively with partners across the Bank to manage expectations and deliver clear, impactful results
Skills You'll Need
Significant, proven experience conducting full-lifecycle digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) investigations in an enterprise environment
Deep, hands-on expertise with industry-standard forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, SIFT Workstation) and methodologies for disk, memory, and log analysis. Strong command of the Windows file system and artifacts is essential
A strong understanding of the incident response lifecycle, threat actor methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK Framework), and the interplay between forensics, threat intelligence, and security operations
The ability to independently scope and manage complex investigations from start to finish, demonstrating persistence and a hypothesis-driven approach to analysis
A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. One or more of the following certifications are highly preferred: GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, GREM, CFCE, OSCP, or similar.

The Enterprise and Treasury Risk Management (ETRM) function provides a cross-risk view of the Bank's risk profile across risk types, businesses and geographies. The function also owns risk type overarching responsibility for key risk management capabilities, like risk appetite, risk identification and group wide stress testing, and is the risk controlling function for credit and treasury risk.
The US Portfolio Management and Asset Class team reports to the Head of Group Portfolio Management with a matrix reporting line into the Head of US Enterprise Risk Management

What You'll Do
Providing a holistic view of the Bank's global asset class portfolios (currently encompassing Commercial Real Estate, Leveraged Lending and Private Capital) including setting and owning the frameworks for asset class risk management and appetite setting
Providing regular reporting and monitoring of asset class risk profiles and status vs appetite
Ensuring that asset class limit breaches are promptly identified and managed
Supporting the Head of US Enterprise Risk Management and the US Chief Risk Officer (CRO) with regular and ad hoc assessments of the Combined US Operations (CUSO) portfolio risk profile, the preparation of key US governance and policy documents and in relation to CUSO risk appetite setting and breach management

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. As a key member of the West South Central region sales team, this position will be responsible for selling institutional investment management services by calling directly on Southwest client segments, including Public Corporate Plans, Endowments & Foundations and other institutional investor segments. The primary objective is to increase assets under management across all asset class disciplines including Equites, Fixed Income and Alternatives. This hire will work closely with the rest of the institutional business development, relationship management, client service and consultant relations professionals in the US.
Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Organize and expand a successful marketing and sales strategy around a focused territory in the West South Central region in line with the firm's overall strategy, which targets Pensions, Endowments & Foundations and other institutional channels. Asset growth will be achieved through winning new mandates from current clients of Neuberger Berman as well as qualified prospects within the region
Represent all investment platforms at Neuberger Berman as a true ambassador for all strategies (e.g., Equities, Fixed Income, and Alternatives)
Effectively communicate the investment philosophy, process, strategies and performance to prospective clients as a proxy for Neuberger Berman
Communicate substantive client activity with the firm through written call notes
Integrate the direct sales program with the consultant marketing program of the firm in close partnership
Determine team, agenda, and materials necessary for all presentations involving other firm professionals
Accurately and successfully represent the firm to the outside world in various public forums
Pivotal Experience & Expertise:
Minimum of 7 years' experience in an institutional sales role at an investment management firm
Extensive current and prospective client contacts and relationships with Public and Corporate Pension Plans, Endowments & Foundations and other institutional channels in the West South Central region
Successful track record of raising assets through sourcing opportunities independently, closing new business in final presentations and servicing large complex mandates with large clients
Demonstrated ability to represent a multiple-product firm across both publics and privates
Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to explain sophisticated investment strategies and complex investment solutions
Proven success in building long-term relationships
Proven success in presenting during “finals” meetings, leveraging a keen understanding of the sales cycle

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $130,000-$150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
