Most of the staff are amazing people that deserve better.
The Administrator at Pheasant Run South Jordan Utah plays favorites, treats women and minorities poorly and punishes anyone that doesn't "kiss the ring". He is the master of sitting in his office and "leading" from the back. He refuses advanced notice for requested vacations from a staffer with seniority because it is to hard to fill the spot. When that staffer complained about not getting their vacation he threatened to cut their hours. He mandates that if someone calls in sick, even if they are in the hospital, that they have to call other staffers to fill their spot. He continually calls staff off-hours for work related items when it benefits his time schedule. Most importantly, staff have been threatened with loss of work hours, punished and even made to cry if they complained about the harassment. He is a very polished used car salesman that is only interested in getting you in the door and signing you up with false promises. Yes, he is this bad! The facility is woefully understaffed due to an extremely high rate of turn-over, low, morale, low pay and very poor benefits. Within the next month, close to 14 people including a total of five Managers will have left in a 4 month span including 6 Health Care Directors in 3 .5 years. Be very mindful of the extra 30+ % of expected but undisclosed workload that awaits you after you accept the position. You will receive very little on-boarding if any at all, no clear or concise procedures and very little training. You will be given more tasks than workable hours and very little budget. When staff finally decides to leave, the Administrator will refuse to pay them their earned PTO if they are not willing to give him 30 days notice. Also note, that he will work them to the bone during those last 30 days. His concern with doing the right/safe thing comes in a distant 3rd behind 1st, everything looking pretty and 2nd, his budget. Think Wizard of Oz! When the Resident's family members start to get a look behind the curtain and complain that they are not getting what they expected for their 7500.00-5500.00 per month, the Administrator placates them and blames the staff for all of the deficiencies. Once a Resident passes away there is zero assistance offered for the family members in their worst time of need. Most family members are from out of state and could desperately use local information regarding moving and storage assistance, counseling, funeral homes, churches ect. I witnessed a family member

I witnessed a family member complain about the charges after their parent passed away. They had returned early the very next morning to remove the personal items but because the items were still in the room that following morning they were charged another day. It needs to be said that at that
