Erik Gershwind is MSC Industrial Supply Co.'s President and Chief Executive Officer. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2011-2012, was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2009 and was elected to MSC's Board of Directors in October 2010. For more than 15 years, Erik has managed key aspects of MSC's business, beginning with mergers and acquisitions in 1996 and expanding into sales, product management, marketing and e-Commerce. Since 2008, Erik has led the company's strategic team responsible for directing the business into new growth markets. JP has been in the hospitality business since 1980 ,after been graduated in 1982 in a culinary school in France finishing 3 rd of its promotion . He then worked in several restaurants in France ( 2 stars Michelin ), Switzerland and USA ( Miami , Boston , San Diego and Washington DC ) . In 1996 he opened his own company in Washington DC , JPK Enterprises inc d/b/a KRUKO selling Kitchen uniforms,small ware equipment and the top brands of the industry for plates , glasses , silverware and Linens .... JPK is still operating today in Arlington VA .
