Jet South Corporation history

The town of Jet was incorporated in 1900 from part of Saline Township.

In December 1905 the Frisco Townsite Company of the Denver, Enid and Gulf Railroad (DE&G, later acquired by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway) surveyed a new townsite for Jet.

By January 11, 1906, according to the Jet Visitor, "the moving of business houses to the new town [was] now in full blast." New brick buildings rapidly appeared, and about one hundred others had been moved from the old site or built in the new one by the middle of February.

The first Lear Jet flight took place in 1963 and many regard this as the first private jet flight.

Founded in 1985, A-OK Jets secured a contract to manage and operate Ryder System’s Lear 55.

Charles “Bucky” Oliver takes ownership of the FBO Raleigh-Durham Aviation and operates it until 1987.

Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), was formed in 1989 to provide hourly cost maintenance programs for in-service business jets.

The Company became the first airline in India to operate the Boeing 737-400 Aircraft in April of the year 1994 and it operates one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the world today.

In the year 2004 the company made tie up with the South African Airways.

The Company launched its first inter-continental flight by linking Mumbai with London Heathrow by a non-stop day flight in the month of May during the year 2005.

The Company introduced a second Mumbai-London (Heathrow)-Mumbai frequency effective from 10th July of the year 2006 and commenced its operations on the Amritsar-London (Heathrow)-Amritsar sector in 4th August of the year 2006.

Also in the same year 2007 Jet Airways inked 8mn aircraft lease agreement and introduced its first flight from Chennai to Toronto via its hub in Brussels.

In same June 2008 launched its daily Mumbai-Shanghai-San Francisco flight becoming the first Indian private carrier to operate to China.

His role at Juniper began in 2010, in connection with their acquisition of SMobile Systems, where he had served as President and Chief Executive Officer.

As President of Jetcraft Asia since 2012, David Dixon is responsible for optimizing sales strategies and managing operations from Beijing to Sydney.

Jennifer Jewett joined Jetcraft in 2013.

Pascal Bachmann joined Jetcraft in 2014 as a sales representative based in Europe.

Dan Kilkeary joined Jetcraft in 2016 as a sales representative based in North East United States In his current role, he leads all sales initiatives in North and South America and manages a team of Sales Directors based in those regions.

A former professional pilot, Pascal still flies as private pilot, is a competitive rally and track driver (most recently the 2019 GT4 European Series Am Cup Champion) and is fluent in French, German and English.
