We are seeking a highly motivated Lab Operations Site Supervisor in the System Products Engineering Team to be in charge of driving requirements for NVIDIA's datacenter bench and rack engineering labs, and work to manage the physical infrastructure. This newest member will collaborate with multi-functional groups to capture requirements and will work jointly with Site Services Planners to craft and implement system deployments. You will have the opportunity to help drive the innovation of our future labs that will be used by engineers to develop our next generation datacenter products.
What you'll be doing:
* Work closely with system validation, hardware and software design engineers, program and project managers to maintain good understanding of the design.
* Coordinate schedules with rack build project managers and prepare site to streamline the installation process.
* Take ownership for the end-to-end process of Assembly and Install of servers comprised of mechanical components, custom PCBs and various electronic components; and other lab activities involving equipment move. This involves typically lab activities, heavy lifting to move the equipment.
* Oversee system validation tests which would involve ability to understand schematic and rework PCBs (using the company rework techs), connect instruments like oscilloscopes and measure data.
* Supervise the Debug of problems on our servers and PCBs to identify the root cause.
* Collaborate with Site Services to lead all aspects of maintaining and improving the physical infrastructure in order to facilitate the deployment of systems.
* Help setup and maintain the lab (work-benches and instrumentation) and ordering/shipping/receiving of lab equipment and samples.
* Document and Communicate validation results and risks to the management.
* Write or Modify simple test scripts for the purpose of testing a system, and run them in Windows and Linux.
* Able to work independently to complete daily tasks/priorities.
* Continuously look for ways to improve the design, validation testplan, tools and NVIDIA server products.

What you will do:

Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any project. This includes but is not limited to communication with:
Superintendent for a daily / weekly schedule

Efficient project management will include managing crew start and end times, production rates, ensuring tools and materials are available to safely and efficiently complete the assigned project. Complete the project per the scope or work or specification.
Ensure that all crew have a professional appearance
Ensure any customer interaction (by a crew member or the Foreman) is always relayed to the Superintendent immediately
Manage, monitor and document performance of Laborers and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work-related issues. Consult with Superintendent and Human Resources as needed.
Perform any other duty and/or project as required or assigned by the Superintendent and/or Regional Branch Manager or COO.
Initially:
Set up ground safety and cone of areas needed
Be at the property for delivery of equipment and materials at the start of the project
Obtain the material receiver slip for the materials being delivered. (This could be ongoing throughout the project)
Verify that every item and quantity on the receiver is actually in the delivery being received. If an item is on the receiver, and is not delivered, the item should be noted on the receiver as “not delivered”.
Review the scope of work (NOA, contract or input sheet as needed), ask the branch manager or account manager any for any clarification needed
Daily:
Ensure the Company truck is well stocked with a variety of membranes, sealants, fasteners, etc.
Go over the day's assigned project/s to ensure understanding of the scope of work, safety required, and material needs.
Check in with the management office to let them know we are there, what building(s) we are working on, ask if there were any issues reported by the residents or property staff and resolve any issues.
Verify safety is properly set up.
Verify that the crew is on the proper building and is performing the proper scope of work.
Determine if there are any materials that are not onsite that will be needed that day or in the next few days to come.
Contact the superintendent or branch manager if any materials are needed and arrange for their delivery. The foreman should not leave the jobsite.
At all breaks, instruct the crew to clean up the grounds below the work area as needed. Clean the grounds personally as needed.
Several times daily, inspect the crews work to ensure that it is completed properly
Nearing the end of the day, begin giving the crew instructions on items that must be completed prior to the crew leaving the property
Before the crew is allowed to leave the property, ensure that all details are completed andthat the roof is watertight overnight.
Update completed projects with notes of what was done, labor hours and materials used, and submit photo documentation.
Look at tomorrow's assigned work orders and get prepared for the following day. Ensure tools and equipment needed are in good working order.
Review timesheet hours and submit any corrections as needed.

Position Specific Skills & Competencies:
Complete understanding of LAB values and knowledge of Heidelberg Image Control is a plus.
An eye for quality when inspecting samples to ship to the customer.
Ability to achieve proper registration, ink and water balance and maintain color balance throughout job
Working knowledge of dot gain, proper trap, inks and coatings and how they work with a multitude of substrates
An understanding of plate curves and how they affect the CT in ¼ tone, mid tone and ¾ tone values
Ability to retrieve JDF files, and to preset the CPC 2000 and set up press the most efficient way
Good eye for color and be able to match proofs
Assist clients and Sales Department with press checks
Approval of production runs
Knowledge and ability to hang blankets and plates, and to pack press properly
Knowledge of the Alcolor Water System and Vario Roller Hickey Picking System
Working knowledge of the Technotrans Cooling and Water System
Assist Press, POD, Finishing and LF Departments with job approval of production run when needed
Keen eye for detail when approving employee time sheets
Assist Press room manager with monthly cycle counts
Work with scheduling and Press room manager on equipment schedules for Press, POD, Finishing and LF
Be able to work at a high production rate in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds on occasion
Ability to operate motorized pallet jack and/or forklift (certification may be required)
Education:
High school graduate/GED
