The Professor of Theatre will be responsible for the dynamic and enthusiastic directing of the Theatre program. Primary duties will include directing all stage performances. Additional primary responsibilities will include serving as the Theatre Department Chair, recruiting, and teaching theatre classes. Active student recruitment and collaboration with other members of the Fine Arts Department are essential ongoing responsibilities. All instructional personnel are expected to dedicate their primary energies and loyalties to the service of their students. Develop and implement a Navarro College theatre recruiting plan that includes visits to highs schools, high school UIL One Act Play contests, clinics, and invitations to attend NC Theatre performances.
Recruit students to participate in theatre programs and advance the theatre program.
Market and promote the College theatre program.
Serve as Artistic Director and Technical Director for NC Theatre productions, typically two mainstage shows per year (one per semester) and two second stage shows per year.

Maintain theatre spaces, including Dawson Auditorium and theatre storage spaces.
