After selecting Lester George as the golf course architect in early 1999, the concept for a daily fee facility quickly faded when the business model for a private golf club was introduced.
In 2000 he negotiated the Capital One sale of property and sold West Creek for the Fund.
Note: Kinloch Golf Club was named 'Best New Private Course' for 2001 by Golf Digest.
In 2001, Kinloch Development Corporation was formed and began to develop the residential component.
The tudor style clubhouse opened for service in the fall of 2002 featuring comfortable amenities along with the traditional appeal and architecture of the Scottish namesake.
The initial overnight cottage accommodation was opened in 2005.
It continues to receive widespread recognition for excellence and in February 2017 was ranked #53 in Golf Digest America’s 100 Greatest.
