About the Role We're looking for a process-oriented Contracts Manager & Paralegal to build and optimize our contract operations infrastructure as we scale our healthcare data platform. Expertise in SaaS agreements, commercial contracts, and software licensing (open-source, proprietary). Deep understanding of data privacy and security laws like CCPA and HIPAA. Excellent communication skills to work with legal and non-legal teams and translate legal needs into business terms. Strong process improvement and design abilities. Demonstrated project management experience. Experience in handling multiple contracts and deadlines. An analytical mindset, along with attention to detail and critical thinking abilities. Proficient in Salesforce. Knowledgeable of other contract management platforms, workflow automation tools, and data analysis methods. Prior paralegal experience preferred. This role will support customer contracts (both government and nongovernment) while Vast continues to design and build artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This role will focus on the entire contract lifecycle-from pre-award activity (30%) to contract management (50%). The remaining time will be spent on developing policies and assisting with other contractual work (20%). This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
