Key Responsibilities
As Survey Project Manager, you will:
Lead all aspects of assigned surveying projects.

Qualifications

Arcadis is seeking a dynamic and experienced Market Lead to drive the growth of our Water Management practice in Texas and serve as a key contributor to our nationwide team. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of water infrastructure and climate resilience across the U.S.
As part of our Resilience Water Global Business Area, you'll be at the forefront of innovative solutions-from climate adaptation and flood risk mitigation to nature-based designs and critical infrastructure like dams, levees, and reservoirs. You'll champion water security, risk modeling, and disaster recovery strategies, while guiding funding and program management efforts that bring transformative projects to life. Your leadership will also support alternative delivery models that accelerate progress and maximize impact.
Role accountabilities:
The role requires development of a comprehensive understanding of Water Management practices nationally and within the Texas market, and the ability to promote these practices to Texas clients. The individual will serve as an integrator, delivering exceptional solutions by leveraging the expertise and resources available through Arcadis. A key responsibility is establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and culture, and creating value-added solutions. The role entails collaboration with internal stakeholders, which is essential to develop and execute client account plans that focus on expanding services. The individual will lead client pursuits and ensure successful project wins through effective engagement strategies, often serving as Principal in Charge or Project Director. Additionally, the role involves coordinating regional conference needs and engaging with sector lobbying organizations to enhance client exposure and service expansion. Maintaining involvement in professional societies and participating in leadership roles is important for developing an industry-wide perspective. Providing advisory and technical support to teams, mentoring junior staff, and participating in hiring panels are also key aspects of the position. The Market Lead role requires close coordination with Account Leads, Area Leads, Solution Directors, Practice Leads, and Practitioners to ensure aligned and integrated efforts across the organization. Furthermore, the individual will support effective project management, quality control, and staffing to help deliver projects successfully.
Key Skills and Attributes:
The ideal candidate will bring deep subject matter expertise in one or more key areas supported by the Water Management practice, such as climate adaptation and disaster resilience, water resources management, dam and reservoir safety, coastal or watershed management, resilient infrastructure design and engineering, collaborative project delivery, asset and enterprise risk and resilience, funding and implementation strategies, disaster recovery, emergency management, and stormwater resilience. They will have hands-on experience working with state and federally funded programs, particularly at the state and local government level, with familiarity in navigating agencies such as the Texas General Land Office (GLO) for HUD CDBG-DR/MIT programs, the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) for FEMA PA/HMA/HMGP, and the Texas Water Development Board. A strong understanding of regional dynamics and cultural nuances is essential, along with a proven track record in business development and client management. The candidate should be able to clearly articulate the strategic value of Water Management services to a wide range of stakeholders, including municipal, utility, state, federal, and private sector executives. Demonstrated success in securing business and cultivating lasting client relationships is key, as is recognition for effective team collaboration, interpersonal skills, and leadership. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including proficiency in presentations and report preparation. The role also requires a willingness and ability to travel.
