Responsibilities: * Support Directors with team management, project planning, analytics, and deliverable of advisory and/or audit support projects for property and casualty engagements * Provide technical oversight of the actuarial staff * Produce new and leverage current actuarial models using actuarial software * Develop, review, and maintain KPMG and client work papers as well as analytics * Maintain documentation files consistent with KPMG work paper requirements * Support and actively participate in actuarial practice strategic initiatives such as innovation, business development, marketing, and practice management Qualifications: * Minimum five years of recent work experience in actuarial science with applicable recent work experience in a professional services environment; experience working in pricing or reserving required * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematics * Certification and in good standing as an Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society is required; active member of the American Academy of Actuaries is a plus * Experience working in a team setting and leading teams and/or projects; strong understanding of property and casualty insurance products in addition to possessing exceptional technical, writing and verbal communication skills * Availability for travel based on client and project demands * Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future KPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries ("KPMG") complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. The IFMS Assistant Controller will assist in various finance-related functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities. **Key Responsibilities:** + Collaborate with Central and Regional IFMS Delivery Executives and the GDS service delivery team to address operational challenges and communicate delivery performance and risks effectively. + Work alongside the Service Delivery Executive to monitor service delivery health, identify potential issues early, and drive resolutions for performance deviations or client-impacting concerns. + Assist the Commercial Management Office by monitoring scope changes and supporting the resolution of commercial and contract-related matters. + Support the general accounting function by participating in monthly and quarterly close activities, preparing journal entries, and assisting with flux and variance analysis in coordination with client teams. + Coordinate with the EY Technical Accounting Advisory Group to address technical accounting matters raised by managed services clients. + Assist in managing the accounting workstream for clients' SEC filings, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of quarterly and ad hoc deliverables. + Provide day-to-day support across finance-related services, including treasury operations, stock-based compensation tracking, and coordination with clients' banks, investment managers, and transfer agents. + Assist in coordinating payroll services provided through EY's managed services and liaise with client HR to support employee benefits and compliance with tax reporting obligations. + Prepare audit schedules and liaise with clients and external auditors during annual and interim audit processes. + Contribute to the development of materials for client Audit Committee and Board meetings, supporting the Regional IFMS Controller in finalization and delivery. + Support the administration and maintenance of EY's IF systems, including reconciliation and interface monitoring between subledgers and the general ledger. + Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, including system enhancements, financial process improvements, and ad hoc projects in response to client needs. **Qualifications:** + A bachelor's degree in an accounting, finance or business discipline + US CPA licensure in your work state + 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance. + Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and experience in a public company environment. + Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. + Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software systems. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. + The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary + Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites.
