KPMG is currently seeking a Manager or SeniorManager, SALT M&A to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.
Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary Tax and Advisory team that focuses on delivering pre-transaction related Tax and Financial due diligence, acquisition structuring and post transaction integration services to buyers, primarily comprised of private equity clients, public corporations and commercial clients
* Examine tax laws and form position on the application of such laws to specific facts presented during the transaction
* Create Excel based spreadsheets to calculate the amount of exposure or other tax liabilities (past, present, or future) associated with the transaction
* Draft due diligence reports and/or memorandums capturing areas of risk and addressing the application of law to facts
* Research and draft technical memoranda regarding income, and franchise tax questions
* Supervise, mentor, and develop staff; capitalize on opportunities to develop new client relationships with management personnel of acquired companies, and work to deliver SALT consulting services to such new clients
Additional Responsibilities for SeniorManager:
* Participate in and contribute to market and business activities that are external to the firm while providing direction to and maintaining managerial accountability for a team; act as a coach and mentor to other tax professionals
Qualifications:
* Minimum five years of recent experience in providing tax research and technical advice on multi-state issues
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), Juris Doctor/Master of Laws (JD/LLM) or Masters in Taxation (MTX), in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
* Ability to handle multiple engagements, as well as client service teams and perform in a high-energy team environment
* Experience with various corporate taxes
* Ability to develop business and foster client relationships and a desire to perform in a high-energy team environment
* Exceptional writing, communication, and tax research skills; excel skills is required
Additional Qualifications for SeniorManager:
* Minimum eight years of recent experience in providing tax research, and technical advice on multi-state issues

The Opportunity
As part of the Corporate Technology Strategy team, you will support delivery of digital and technology transformation engagements. You will utilize your deep technology skills to support delivery of digital transformation engagements across the entire lifecycle.
As a Director in PwC's Strategy Platform, you'll serve as a senior leader within our Provider Business Operations team, driving large-scale, tech-enabled transformation programs for healthcare providers.
You will focus on creating meaningful impact for national and regional health systems by advising them on how to leverage technology and operational excellence to achieve strategic goals, including growth and scale, post-merger integration, cost reduction, and the industrialization of differentiated offerings and services. You will bring deep functional and technical expertise across our priority areas of finance, supply chain, HR, workforce management, shared services, and related administrative and operational domains.
Responsibilities
+ Advise clients on their most complex technology strategy problems using the latest frameworks, methodologies, and technologies
+ Build technology solutions using AI and other platforms to enable outstanding client outcomes
+ Lead large-scale healthcare transformation programs across finance, HR, supply chain, and operations and drive strategic alignment, governance, and high-quality delivery

+ Bachelor's degree
+ At least 10 years of consulting and/or healthcare provider industry experience, including 5 years leading significant components of large, complex business- and technology-enabled transformation programs, as well as using technology to solve complex technology strategy problems.
+ Thought leader-level experience across administrative and operational functions within healthcare provider organizations (e.g., finance, supply chain, HR, workforce management, shared services)
+ Thought leader-level experience with enabling platforms (Oracle, Workday, UKG)
+ Understanding and experience executing the software development lifecycle in large enterprise

The salary range for this position is: $155,000 - $410,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. * Work as part of a multi-disciplinary Tax and Advisory team that focuses on delivering pre-transaction related Tax and Financial due diligence, acquisition structuring and post transaction integration services to buyers, primarily comprised of private equity clients, public corporations and commercial clients
