KTW Product Inc. company history timeline

1989

Prior to the formation of KTW (Ventures) and certain other businesses, Ken founded W-H Energy Services, Inc. (“W-H”) in 1989, which focused on buy and build strategy in the oilfield service sector.

1990

The Tokyo headquarters was established in the Minato ward of Tokyo in the Japan Times-Nifco Building in 1990. (current Tokyo headquarters is located in Mita Bellju Building.)

1998

In 1998, W-H acquired Pathfinder Energy Services, Inc. (“Pathfinder”) from Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. (“HAL”). At that time, HAL had just acquired Dresser Industries, who owned a logging/measurement-while-drilling service company.

Nifco achieved the ISO 9001 certificate in 1998.

2006

Nifco was presented with the Intellectual Property Achievement Award in 2006.

2008

In mid-2008, Smith International, Inc. acquired W-H, which at the time had acquired over twelve entities, in a transaction valued at approximately $3.2 billion.

In mid-2008, Ernesto played a key role in the sale of W-H to Smith, including significant interaction with Smith representatives as well as W-H’s legal, audit and investment banking representatives.

2015

Moved the head office to Yokosuka from 2015.
