Essential Duties & Responsibilities Network Design & Optimization Develop new fiber and wireless construction designs. Refine existing designs to balance cost-effectiveness and performance. Enter and update features, data, and connections in GIS software. Project Coordination & Documentation Prepare, generate, and update reports on project status and plant records. Maintain files, designs, and drawings in Fibersmiths document management system. Adhere to all Fibersmith standards, as outlined in employee training. Assist with Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Notices, or similar documentation. Field Support & Data Collection Generate field maps for use during staking and inspection. Gather data on points of interestsuch as poles, foreign utilities, or other infrastructureto inform design. Travel up to 1015% for site visits, industry events, and more. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work within a team environment, collaborating with consultants and senior consultants. Remain adaptable to shifting priorities and requirements. Keep up with the latest industry trends, products, and technologies. Provide ideas for process improvements and network enhancements. General Support Other duties as required to support project success. Required Skills Accuracy & Attention to Detail You consistently deliver precise work and spot errors that others might miss. Technical Proficiency You are comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Planner, etc.) and eager to learn new software tools (GIS, CAD, Arc, SQL, etc.).
