The Opportunity
As a dedicated Business Insurance Agent - Intermediate, you will work in an inbound sales environment advising business owners on insurance and risk management, using a full suite of Commercial Insurance Products to address each member and/or non-member's unique risk profile.
You will use knowledge of insurance marketplace, carrier appetite, and leverage underwriter relationships and knowledge of carrier contracts to place coverage for member's business.
On a daily basis you will take incoming calls throughout the day (average 7-10 calls) for business insurance coverage collaborating with other insurance carriers. You will also have outbound follow-up calls with member and non-member customers.
USAA provides 13-15 weeks of training so you understand our product offerings and can support each member and/or non-member independently. Training schedule hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Central Time, (9:00am-5:30pm Eastern Time). Work schedule hours are Monday - Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm Central Time (10:30am-7:00pm Eastern Time).
This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. This is a full-time, hourly, non-commission position.
What you'll do:
Utilizes a consultative approach to determine customer needs, build rapport, and provide solutions (composed of a la cart combinations of various products and services) based on current products and service offerings.
Builds and maintains relationships between members and nonmembers and insurance carriers, exercising technical knowledge effectively and communicating solutions.
Utilizes understanding of compliance and insurance standards and Agency Management Systems to limit agency Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure through proper documentation.
Classifies member's and/or non-members business and provide accurate risk management and risk mitigation solutions.
Facilitates account reviews, by leveraging the carrier renewal cycle, and understanding the members' and nonmembers' risk profile to provide consultative advice and appropriately address and mitigate the risk.
Researches industry trends and evolving regulatory environment (state and national), improving understanding of important technical/financial issues.
Utilizes Intermediate knowledge of Agency Management Systems/Customer Relations Management (CRM) & multiple carrier Platforms to operate comfortably at an advanced level to appropriately select product and carrier offerings.
Leverages intermediate knowledge of Carrier guidelines and processes to partner and negotiate with underwriters on endorsements, renewal questions, and remarkets for underwriting determination (approval or declination).
Leverages intermediate understanding of calculating Insurance to Value (ITV) on a wide range of property types and structures including geographic differences and capture custom or unique features within the properties and provide appropriate details to determine accurate replacement values.
Provides select account service for member's and nonmember's including policy changes, certificates, endorsements, renewals, non-renewals and remarkets, cancellations, reinstatements, and record updates within agency systems.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
1 year of insurance sales and service experience and/or experience working in a high value, commercial insurance agency or broker setting.
Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for home state and/or ability to obtain home state and multistate license within 90 days.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $43,680.00 - $76,610.00.

Travel and Office Policy
The Check team is distributed across the US, with offices in New York City and San Francisco. While we embrace remote work, time together in person is where we do our best work. Overview

JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Officer, Early Care and Education Facilities plays a critical role in implementing and expanding the Early Childhood Facilities Fund. This fund supports high-quality early learning environments across Alameda County. The Program Officer manages grants, provides technical assistance to childcare providers, and collaborates with public and private partners to enhance the supply and quality of early childhood education facilities. This role is ideal for a mission-driven, organized, and collaborative professional dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilities Grant Management
Administer a complex portfolio of facility improvement grants for licensed childcare centers, family childcare homes, and other child-serving spaces (e.g., libraries, shelters, family resource centers).
Manage full grant lifecycle including application intake, due diligence, contracting, disbursement, and closeout.
Review grant applications for compliance, feasibility, readiness, and alignment with strategic program goals.
Maintain real-time tracking systems to monitor pipeline activity, award status, project timelines, and budgets.
Conduct virtual and in-person site visits to assess facility needs, document progress, and ensure compliance with program milestones.
Draft grant recommendations, presentations, and summary reports for internal review committees and funding partners.
Support communications and outreach to ensure grant opportunities are equitably distributed across diverse provider communities, including monolingual and underrepresented populations.
Technical Assistance and Capacity Building
Provide individualized technical assistance to ECE providers on facility-related topics including scoping of repairs, space planning, health and safety, regulatory compliance, and business planning.
Assist providers in navigating building code requirements, Community Care Licensing (CCL) regulations, and zoning issues in collaboration with city and county agencies.
Develop and lead trainings or workshops on facility best practices, physical environments for young children, business readiness, and long-term maintenance planning.
Create and disseminate resource guides, tip sheets, and planning tools tailored to small business operators and nonprofit childcare programs.
Data, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement
Track and analyze grant performance metrics and project impact data (e.g., number of slots created, improved quality indicators, geographic equity).
Maintain accurate, timely records in Salesforce or equivalent cloud-based databases.
Contribute to reports for funders, internal leadership, and external stakeholders on program outcomes and success stories.
Identify areas for process improvement, propose enhancements to internal systems, and participate in cross-team learning sessions.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

Loan Boarding Specialist-Collateral

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This position is responsible for the review and analysis of loan boarding packages for commercial and consumer loans and booking collateral to the Collateral Management System. Acts as liaison with Closing Department to resolve collateral matters pre and post boarding. This position will handle moderate to complex collateral issues and will work independently with minimal guidance from Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
* Performs collateral reviews and identifies exceptions
* Ensures that Demands and Reconveyances tracking is in conformity with regulatory/government requirements.
* Updates the Collateral Tracking System
* Fulfills internal requests for collateral review and document preparation
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with assigned Bank policies and procedures relating to collateral perfection and monitoring.
* Processes, solves and answers simple to complex collateral related issues.
* Responsible for data integrity of Collateral Management System.
* Maintains a proficient knowledge of applicable banking and RESPA rules and regulations.
* Manage Special Projects independently.
* Maintain a proactive, committed approach to such programs as Customer first, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Employment Opportunity.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
*Required Qualifications**
* Minimum 3 years of experience working in documentation or a bank servicing department
* Minimum 3 years of experience in analyzing loan documents and credit approval documents.
* Minimum 2 years of experience with MS Office Suite
*Additional Qualifications*
* Knowledge of terminology and documents, related to the perfection and retention of collateral (e.g. real estate, Security Agreement and UCC filings, etc.).
* Must be able to process and handle large volumes ensuring quick turnaround
* Familiarity with the CFPB, RESPA and Article 9
* Education: Associates Degree or higher.
* Strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge,
* Strong math/accounting, data analysis and business writing skills
* Strong research and analytical skills
* Ability to quickly adapt to and become proficient in disparate loan processing systems
* Candidate for this position must be able to analyze commercial and consumer notes and credit memorandum. Candidates must have a strong documentation and collateral background

What You'll Do
As an Experienced Audit Associate, you'll work with clients in the insurance industry, nonprofit industry, and also audit employee benefit plans. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in audit principles who is ready to take on more responsibility, assist in leading engagements, and mentor junior staff.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Getting to know our clients, their business and how they work to provide the right service
Proactively assist the team in audit and review engagements from planning through reporting
Perform risk assessments and evaluate internal controls
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and firm policies
Supervise and mentor junior associates and begin strengthening the soft skills to support evaluating their performance

Requirements
Minimum of two years' experience in public accounting
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or another related field
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards
CPA license or progress towards licensure
