    Perform efficiently and independently to support 365/24/7 support commitment to customer. Duties include installation, decommission, preventative and corrective maintenance on various models of Transportation Security Equipment (TSE) and commercial customer security screening equipment. Review proper operational procedures with security equipment operators. Utilize mobile devices to document work performed and update customer service requests in near real time. Must be able to clearly document work performed (via email) when service requests are not dispatched to mobile device. Able to clearly and effectively communicate with customer staff and other field service technicians. Must be familiar with standard safety concepts, practices, and procedures for maintaining security equipment. Use work experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish daily/weekly and monthly work objectives. Utilize support equipment such as digital multimeters, flow meters or oscilloscopes to accurately diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions. Works under general supervision. A degree of independence, creativity and latitude is required. Experience on specific security screening equipment is a plus: CEIA, Smiths Detection, Rapiscan, and Leidos. Ability to work in secure environments and pass applicable background checks is a must. Candidates must have a good driving record and a reliable personal vehicle to use for performing daily work. Must be available for overtime as needed in addition to travel. If not already certified for maintaining and repairing the security equipment noted above, then certification is a condition of employment. High level of reliability is required. Primary Responsibilities: Report to the Director of Checkpoint Maintenance. Performs scheduled and unscheduled corrective (CM) and preventative (PM) maintenance activities on Transportation Security Equipment at U.S. airports and its territories. Attend customer meetings, capture and communicate customer feedback, provide operator and technical coaching/refresher training. Must successfully complete all equipment technical trainings. Must be able to pass a thorough background check (vetting) for TSA/DHS. Basic Qualifications: Minimum 2 years (4 years without degree/technical school) of field service experience repairing and servicing security equipment or related equipment. (HVAC, medical x-ray/CT systems, etc.) Demonstrated experience in a customer facing/interacting role (performing customer training, encouraging and capturing customer feedback, conflict mediation/resolution/de-escalation) Familiar using measuring devices (digital multimeters, mass flow meters) Adept at interpreting technical schematics and diagrams Working knowledge of x-ray/CT imaging and/or magnetometer metal detector systems Role expected to travel at 75%, due to frequent travel requirement the ideal candidate should be located within 75 miles of a medium sized (CAT II) or larger airport. Administer respirator fit tests in full compliance with CFR 1910.134 Respiratory Protection Standard. Administer all drug and alcohol collections in full compliance with 49 CFR Part 40 standards. Maintain and develop customer relationships by responding to questions, concerns, and requests from customers with speed and professionalism. Thoroughly disinfect and inspect each respirator upon completion of each test Insure all customer data and paperwork is kept confidential at all times Keep up to date with relevant safety topics, software and lecture and online training technology Up to date in NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) and CAOHC (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation) certifications Up to date in all drug and alcohol testing certifications and courses Strive to maintain personal drug testing procedures that are flawless - undergo mandated remediation within 30 days of error notification. Respond to after-hour calls as needed Requirements SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Customer service skills are required.     We have an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Field Service Engineer to lead a team and provide technical support for complex systems' survey, development, procurement, installation, test, deployment, and sustainment. As a Engineer in this program, you will be a leader and a team member that interacts with technical and non-technical teammates, including customers and vendors. You will be considered a subject matter expert in all things related to the timing and synchronization network- including Transport, I.P., and D.C. power infrastructure in multiple environments. Also included is a SATCOM component and regular radio frequency (RF), and Global Positioning System (GPS) related tasks. In this role, you will be required to survey, design, procure, install, provide technical assistance, administer configurations, support testing, recommend enhancements, and troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with the various network components. Primary Responsibilities The candidate is familiar with performing within a fixed-price, performance-based environment where performance is based on pre-determined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs). The Engineer develops a method of procedures (MOP) and creates MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) for power, site installation, and maintenance. Ensure that all implementation activities use consistent and proven processes, that these processes be modified and improved as necessary, and are used across all types of implementations. Execute the actions identified in the TSIP to accomplish the tasks required to bring the installed equipment into operational readiness. Performs complex and technically in-depth site survey functions at user locations as required to assess/analyze site preparedness and develop implementation plans, power requirements, and associated cost estimates. Accomplish the tasks required to deactivate and uninstall DISN equipment and hardware. Coordinates with users, site/base support and facilities personnel, the network manager(s) and controllers, and long haul and local carriers for installation, cutover, activation, deactivation planning, and execution. Perform installation test and acceptance (IT&A) of network components and facilitate remote testing with off-site Operations Engineering support. The Engineer will oversee installation/de-installation/upgrade/interface actions associated with timing and synchronization network components at user locations. Develop site recommendations to accommodate the expansion of various future mediums (cable, power, equipment, etc.). The Engineer will facilitate and finalizes all aspects of site acceptance. Supports senior staff as required and meets customer requirements and project milestones. Serve as liaison between stakeholders and program leadership, assist with briefing stakeholders regularly on project purpose and progress, and alerting program leadership to developing issues and opportunities throughout the area of responsibility.
